    Tilt trim switch wiring

The choke doesn't usually need adjusting, most times just a good cleaning. Carb cleaner right on the slide as you "manually" slide it in and out. Then a bit of thin oil on the slide.

    Tilt trim switch wiring

The green wire on the buss bar is the choke. Test light?? Have someone at the key and activate using the test light. The T@T doesn't go to the buss bar. There should be 2 breakers on the 85 wiring system. One for the T@T the other for the motor. Carb cleaner in the choke, on the slide and then...

    1990 Force....couple issues

Mercury sells the right zip tie. The regular zip is flat while the Mercury is rounded and made to squeeze the whole hose not the 90% the other ties use. If Mercury uses them?? Good enough for me :) TIE STRAP, (8.00 INCHES) 816311T

How long have you owned a Chrysler Outboard and what has been your experience

That threaded hole's great for adding a tell tale and possibly a temp gauge if you don't use it for a pressure gauge.

The plenum should have a hose barb on the bottom and it hooks to the hose from the manifold. Once the slide's free it should start easily, just make sure you hold the choke in until it coughs/fires then usually they start without the choke. You using fast idle?

How long have you owned a Chrysler Outboard and what has been your experience

Problem with the gauge is your not watching the dash all day. Myself if I tried that I'd be chummin in no time. That's why I installed extra horns(mtorcycle and car)and test the system regularly. I bought a 21 Bayliner with twin Forces, first week the flywheel key sheared and then within 4-5...

    Tilt trim switch wiring

The 50hp cable might not have the blue/green leads built in. The 85/125/150 from 1987 had the leads built in.

1996 FORCE 75hp idle issue (especially when F to R)

The only time the bulb stays firm is when you pump it up before starting. Once it's started, the ball just sets there and fuel flows through the one way valve. IF?? it's hard then? it just might be old and stiff??

    Failed drive shaft

Some of the bearing carriers only had 1 seal in the carrier. The other seal could be for the drive shaft/water pump seal?? If yours had 2 then start going through the parts diagrams looking for the carrier with the 2 seals.
