    Nobody fishing?

I am in the great lakes area where it has been near 100 degrees and Lake Erie water temps are at record highs. Walleye have moved east into deeper and cooler water. Perch are just starting to school up, long past their normal move as they to are waiting for the lake to cool. Wind has been...

new propeller installation and test resoult

I was taught by the marina I worked for years ago to prop for a light load, then you would be good with a heavy load. Prop for max wot with a light load or even slightly above. You will need to watch your fact with the lightest of loads, but it always worked well even with heavy loads. If...

    Bait and Livewell

Most people do not use bait wells where I fish. Insulated and aerated portable bait buckets work far better and much less hassle like your now having. Most disconnect any plumbing and just use it as storage. Don't use live wells either as I don't do tournaments either. I fish for food, so...

new propeller installation and test resoult

Going to a cupped prop adds about 1" extra pitch to the calculations. In other words using a prop with 15" of pitch, then having the blades cupped makes it equal to a 16" pitch in use.

In your description of starting procedures you mentioned using choke then squeezing ball....should be the opposite. Plug or connect the fuel line to the motor, then squeeze ball until hard or resistance ( some do not get rock hard) then push and hold choke for a few seconds, release, lift...

Depends on how bad they are rusted......most penetrating oils work well for basic rusted fasteners. I have used ATF for bad rust along with penetrating oil.

    Nobody fishing?

If you don't mind the high heat, the walleye are biting right now. Need to find deep water around the Islands and further east. Not long ago they were hot in the western basin, but due to warm lake temps, they have moved further east. Walleye are fun to catch, but when it comes to eating, my...

    Nobody fishing?

Here in the western Lake Erie area, walleye fishing has been hot as has been the weather. With the water heating up, the fish have headed east where the lake is deeper and cooler. My family prefers the Perch and they are slow this year coming back into more shallow water. With the warmer than...
