    68 Johnson 9.5

If you want to go faster buy a 77 or later 9.9 hp motor. It is a significant jump in power compared to the 9.5 hp. The 9.5 will never be the motor you want it to be.

25hp mercury tracker cranks but will not start

That is a bad video that has nothing to do with a 25 hp Merc. Disconnect the black with yellow stripe wire from the cdi box.

Fueling a 2002 Bayliner Trophy Outboard Mercury 125 Motor

That motor should have a cap on the hood for 2 strk oil ONLY. The cap on the boat should have gas ONLY unless the oil injection doesn't work or has been disabled. If it has sat for a while take it to a competent Merc Mechanic who is familiar with the 2+2 motors.

9.8 hp vs 9.9 hp outboard engines

The only thing I will disagree with there is the Merc 9.9 started out on the smaller block. It shared the 6/8 hp block it did not go to the 15 hp block until early to mid 90s.

    100, 115, or 140?

115 and 140 are the same block if you believe that the 140 is powerhead rated and the 115 is prop rated. I think RPH means Rebuilt/replaced powerhead.

75HP Evinrude Loses Power During Acceleration

That roller needs to be replaced an oring holds that on top the shaft. Then do a link and sync. What is the model # of your motor. Have you tried pumping the primer ball on the fuel line when it bogs? What is your compression? Have you done a spark check? Checked for water intrusion? Water in...

    Mecrcury 9.9 HP shifting issues

Because there is to much force in the lower unit, that is why you cant shift. If this is a Mercury built motor I would stop shifting until you fix the idle. Those lower units are not strong and expensive to replace. If your motor has the knob for the primer see if it turns to the left. That knob...
