    You would have to thoroughly wipe the whole thing down with wax remover. If that's the plan, get a buffing compound without wax, wash before doing decals, then wax. Before you take off the decals, just know that the gel under them will be a different color because it was protected from fading...

    Ugh, I suck with drywall. Don't rely on the breakers being labled correctly, use a light pen and double check at the outlet/switch that the power is off. Have fun finding all the janky repairs from previous owners! :)

    Why the treated lumber and where? Resin/glass won't bond well because it's already saturated with a liquid repellent. Also, use thickened resin (resin putty) between the transom and hull to bond it all together.

    Bulkhead Stress Crack Repair

    I've never seen a bulkhead gapped like you describe. The purpose of the putty is so there isn't a gap. When we replace them, putting them same as factory, we get as tight of a fit as possible. The putty is to attach the edges to the hull, and to prevent air voids behind the glass.

    The bulkhead SHOULD be attached to the hull. It's part of the structure of the boat, along with the stringers. Cracks can happen for lots of reasons. As cyclops said, need pics.

    Not boat related, but I just finished making this box around one of our exhaust fans. I also finished the Cobalt, but I forgot to take pictures and it's gone now.

    Wait, did you already roll the whole area before you were done with the color? If you put catalyst in that, then job's done now. Also, with gel you need to peel your tape line as soon as you're done. If you leave it on and the gel hardens, you'll have to cut along the tape line with a razor...

    Why not just lift the motor, rest it in place on the transom (but still supported with engine lift), and use the mounting plate as the guide?

    Yes, the TR is heavier than the pace. TR on wool pad for initial buff and sanding scratches, Pace on white foam for buffing swirls, 3M on black foam for final polish. The "heavy cut" is relative. It probably is for automotive clear (but I still do the same process on that), but not on gel coat...

    This might be a dumb idea, but can you just shorten the trailer? Cut out a section of the frame and move the back forward where you want it.
