I use the heater and have been getting great results with a few drops of Dawn dish soap.
You can use to much and you will know when you do but the bench will be clean as well.

Running up the rpm’s with no load on it a bad plan. Best to get it the water for testing and adjusting. Do a water pump service before that if you haven’t done it yet.
Here I was thinking the 10mm was hitching a ride with the roll of black tape all this time. That vid proves they can and do just vanish. Next in the line up for me is the 1/2” box / open end.
I know guys that will use the $15 hvlp gun from harbor freight to shoot primer and then toss the gun. I have had one for years that I choose to clean and it just keeps going and does a fairly good job. I wouldn’t use it on a car but for other stuff it’s just fine.
That’s the number I came up with as well but without a factory manual I’m never 100% sure.

Are you running in a barrel or on muffs?
If in a barrel is the water well above the pump level? Pumps are not self priming water needs to be well above the pump.
