    90 hp carb over filling

Well, I'd move the batteries forward and vent them. I cut the fiberglass with my electric water diamond blade hooked up to a shop vac....an old Milwaukee to be exact. I put on a light dusk mask on, and threw it away, didn't need anything. All these tools I got for free. Baby boomers are...

    90 hp carb over filling

One way vent is tough. Maybe get a charcoal canister and rig up a evap system. Couldn't be that hard. I'm doing it to my 1974 Grummen and step van as we speak. I had a 19 ft campion cc and I cut the tank out. Cut the floor out with a skill saw, replaced the tank and put in a stainless steel...

    90 hp carb over filling

I assumed with a 90hp you have an onboard fuel tank. Are you using portables?

    Evinrude 20 Poor Water Flow

Make sure you "true" the head. Sandpaper on a super flat surface in a figure 8 pattern. Remember their aluminum.

    90 hp carb over filling

Sounds like your gas tank vent is plugged. Does your boat have a second vent? You purchased new plastic bowls, correct? I buy new ones and have no problems.

1976 135HP Evinrude No gas going to spark plugs/cylinder

"Fuel is not reaching the actual combustion chamber" I'm going with this. You changed the gas lines....fuel is non-ethanol? Octane? Did you try pumping the primer ball while starting it. I'd eliminate any fuel issues if the information provided is true. Cheers.

    90 hp carb over filling

One other way to look at it. Did you look at the torque specs for the screws that go in the plastic bowl? You might find.... that you're over torquing them. Cheap to try....

    Evinrude 20 Poor Water Flow

Could be your water jacket has internal damage. What happens when you run it other than nothing peeing? Try running it and seeing if it heats up. If not put a hot alarm on it and run it My IT guy would say...I just went around it.

    Lower unit won't drop on a 1987 Johnson 50

If you did the above, when was the last time it was removed? Every hear of a stuck driveshaft?

    No sparking v4

Mine went bad near the motor where it swivels a lot. No need to open the whole harness, just some spots and test each wire for continuity. Another trick if the harness is already exposed is dig your thumb nail along the wire....it usually squishes in where the brake is.

    383535 vs 311932

    "either" Don't assume anything.

    383535 vs 311932

Either measure everything and I mean everything or chase out the threads. Not sure why you even purchased one. Next, weld shop and re-thread. Send the head back as defective.

    383535 vs 311932

Did you try to chase the thread out using a tap with lots of oil spinning it back and forth? Because if you did, and it didn't work then I usually, if the head is actually off, have my welders spot shot some aluminum in there and then I drill and tap it out. Easy peasy.

    Top speed??

Well said....or a 15 cap on it.....smaller restricted plate, bad fuel, coil cutting out at high power, kill switch slightly killing it at high speeds or a tiny tiny speck of sand in the main jet.

Got $100? That will probably fix it if you learn how to diagnose. Try deductive reasoning.

Gas - Oil Mixture on old Evinrudes outboards

Yes, I can make just about any 2 stroke outboard run excellent on 100 to 1. And I have a 63 brass British Seagull that runs on 16 to 1. I just really thought, starting them once and then hang them on the wall and maintain them is WAY more fun the running them around at high speeds. I believe...
