Gas - Oil Mixture on old Evinrudes outboards

If your just idling around just use very little oil (100 to 1) If you want to rip around use 16 to 1.... Otherwise use 0 to 1 and put them on the wall. Years of staring at them will do you wonders.

    Water tube

Vic, Wasn't being smart and I'm not the original poster. But to clarify, original post said does the Engine have to come off, and I said in general outboard engines have to come off....bla bla bla. As far as above this one particular model the area above the tube is also classified as a tube...

    Water tube

Good to know. But, what if there is a hole in the tube above that point? Post 1 "If it has to be replaced, does the power head need to be removed?"

    Water tube

I was referring to the removal of the water tube which I believe the poster asked. Of coarse I could be wrong.

    Water tube

On most outboards, the engines have to come off to allow access. Maybe the carb should be put out to pasture....there's lots around and fairly cheap.

    Evinrude 20 Poor Water Flow

You might find this interesting. Rubber pieces are at the top of the block in the water area slowing or channeling the flow. Let's call it metering.

I would...wait!-----No, you better not because....yeah, go for ? Pretty sure you thought out loud twice. Have you tried talking to a mechanic at your local dealer? When I was young I would very carefully approach a mechanic and he would eventually tell me....( Bring donuts )
