There is no fuel pressure to be found there. That valve is for injecting cleaners, fogging oil and such.

High RPM surge driving me nuts!!!

You have a lot going on here but I wouldn’t rule out the prop slipping. Just for kicks mark your prop and hub and if your marks aren’t lined up after your next trip then you will know. Best

    1991 Evinrude 200 XP

Yea it looks like you have your hands full with this one. It’s hard to say for sure from the pics but that cylinder looks to be to far gone. I don’t think honing alone will get you to where you need to be. That crank journal looks pretty well toast as well and would likely need repaired. Then...

Is this boat new to you? I feel like something simple is being over looked. MOB switch or something like that. As well as the other questions asked what type of throttle controls does it have?

optional engine cover for 1971 Johnson 50

Agreed I didn’t detect any sarcasm there or making fun of you. I think he was just saying you like to know where people are so you can help lead them in the right direction. That what I got from it anyway. Best

They could have stocked their shelves with new old stock as well. I have seen adds for dealers In my area going out of business or already did some time ago selling off old stock. That could be a question to ask your supplier as well.

It’s ok that’s it flush. You would only weld the inside of the nut to the broken bolt basically making it a bolt again. It works well and as I say the heat from welding helps with removal.

How are the cylinder walls? Can you get by with just honing them? If so try welding a nut to the broken head bolt to remove it. Just set a good fitting nut over the bolt and weld the inside of the nut to the broken bolt. The heat created will aid in the removal as well.

J120TLLCA - Technical question about reverse issues and "ok" clutch dog.

Can’t say for sure but it looks like there may be some chipping on the gears. If you still have the old gear oil run a magnet through and see what you find. Maybe a chip was hanging you up from hitting reverse. It happens to my knees all the time.
