1990 Force 120HP #2 Cyl zero compression and upon opening piston shows damage

Yeah, they can be a bugger to come off without damaging Inspect the tapered part of the shaft & fly-wheel it may need some good cleaning (don't loose the key)

1989 85hp removed lower gear pivot screw

It's possible that the yoke is not in the right place OR he's really lucky!!

Measure the Cylinder-wall, the only way to find out

IF??? your fingernail get caught on the grooves it will need a re-bore If not, than a honing stone will clean-up the glazed cylinder-wall These engines do not have sleeves!

Yes!! I had it wrong (too many tools in my box)

6 mm 12point, a wrench will remove the bolts but....... You'll need a socket (1/4 drive) for re-assembly torque

    Force 70 hp questions.

True, you're absolutely right!! I guess I should of worded it different, maybe like this; Once the float valve is closed, the line to the enrichment valve is gravity fed. When the float valve opens (due to low fuel in the bowl) it would be.

    Force 70 hp questions.

How does the fuel get into the (none gravity fed) Carburetor bowl?

    I didn't mean Crankcase pressure
  11. The Force power

    Force 70 hp questions.

IF my memory serve me correct....the fuel-line to the enrichment-valve was connected to the bowl? This line would get filled/fuel flowing from the fuel pressure; Initially by the primer bulb / followed by the fuel pump during the cranking /running of the engine

1988 Force 125 timing marks explanation?

I thought; this only worked on 4-strokes, my mistake-sorry

1988 Force 125 timing marks explanation?

If I understand this correctly? & you're working with a timing light I'm thinking of? You don't "set" your timing-light this feature is for 4-stroke engines to adjust the advancement. With a 2-stroke you only use the flash pointed @ (in this case) 28 degrees mark

1988 Force 125 timing marks explanation?

Just to add to Nordin's reply; You will have to bypass the neutral-switch to crank the starter in full forward gear (WOT) OR jump the starter across the starter-solenoid

    06 Mariner 9.9

Check if the water-tube going into the block is properly aligned, if not it will/can fill up the LU with water coming from the pump & finding its way to the block that way When the motor runs in gear the back-pressure drops (due to the water movement) & the pumped out water will not reach the...

1994 Force 120 Low compression on top cylinder

It not the actual Carp. not equally dispersing the fuel equally but the amount of fuel going in is also affected by the valve-reeds for each cylinder. Also the recirculation hoses that handles the unburned fuel have an effect on the cylinders (mostly on the bottom one, when its being...
