    Battery power for propane fireplace

Not really……the thermocoupler simply shuts off the gas supply if the pilot light is extinguished. In my case, the gas valve (120VAC) is thermostatically controlled. I’m fortunate that I have oil as my primary heat source. No problems with heat or lighting running a 4,400 watt generator

    VRO Pump Question

OMC recommends 5/16” fuel lines up to 115 HP and 3/8” for 115 HO and above. If I remember correctly from when I put a new pump on my motor, the kits came with adaptors to accommodate both 3/8” and 5/16” fuel lines. Still have the 5/16” adaptor rolling around in the bottom of my tool box

    Fish finders

Never leave fish to find fish, but patients isn't a virtue when fishing. If we're not catching fish within 10-15 minutes, its time to move on. The only time that rule doesn't apply is when surf fishing and I have a 120 qt. cooler full of adult beverages on the front of the truck to occupy...

    Erratic tachomether

Surprised everyone just assumes it's a cable problem. Could very well be something wrong with where/how the signal is generated. If this was an outboard, I'd say change the voltage regulator. Where is the tach signal generated on this particular motor? Ignition module? Coil?

Mariner 200 EFI fuel pressure issue?

Had the exact same symptoms/issue on a motor a couple of months ago. Keep looking (hoping) to find another (cheaper) problem in the system but knew from experience that it was a failing HP fuel pump. Got tired of dealing with the issue and spent the $300 for a pump. Installed the new HP pump...

    Fish finders

Could have saved a bunch of time and effort and just “trolled” in the drive way to the same end…..lol There is a reason why 10% of the fisherman catch 90% of the fish and it isn’t a better sonar setup. You’re sitting in your tree stand and a low level fog rolls. You sit and you wait, but the...

Mercruiser 4.3 EFI leaking fuel but can't find leak??

The last two gas leaks I found where both on the bottom of the fill hose at the bend where it enters the fuel tank. Only "leaked" after fueling up and or out bouncing around in rough water

    Fuel for 2005 115 Johnson 2 cycle

Been burning plain old 87 octane "corn" gas in everything I own (except diesels) since federally mandated back at the turn of the century.

    Dexter vault hub service interval

My #1 rule.......don't fix anything that isn't broken. Especially if it's under factory warranty.

    Fuel Tank incorrectly labelled?

Sound like it's too late now, but you really should replace the old float sensor with a newer reed switch sender. No more guessing.......very repetitive, accurate readings. No more fluctuating levels with boat position. Tank levels matches up with my Garmin GFS-10 usage very well

    Finally, a Funnel Solution!

Made me stop and think what I do with my funnels. The larger oil funnel lives in the oil drain pan stored under a work bench. The small, skinny funnel gets used for hydraulic oil, transmission and power steering fluids, etc. Just poke a rag thru it when I’m done and hang it back on the wall.

    Pizza is ready !

Unfortunately in my case I’m carb sensitive. Try to limit myself to 30 grams or less of carbs per day. I can either eat one slice of pizza or a 16 oz. T-bone, green vegetable and a salad. I choose the steak and salad every time

    Dexter vault hub service interval

I would suggest you read the service manual? “Adding or changing the lubricant in the VAULT is not necessary or recommended for the first five years of service, or ten years with the extended warranty.” SERVICE The VAULT does not usually require any service. If you believe service is required...

    rodent infestation

Can’t get much more prey driven than a Husky. It works great for us. Enclosed roughly 2.5 acres of our 30 acre property. Combination of woods and barn yard gives her a lot of area to keep her entertained. Bristol was 10 weeks old when she was introduced to the fence, It’s been six years and...

    rodent infestation

Installed an invisible fence around the house and barn areas. Between our Husky and a Tom cat, few critters dare venture inside the enclosed area. Body parts of those that do typically end up by the front steps or the garage door
