A few questions on a new to me 2020 Mustang GT

One of my vehicles comes standard with 18” wheels but jumps to 20” in top trim package. My door sticker (20”) says 34 psi. Owners manuals says 36 psi for 18 wheels. That said, the difference in ride quality between the two sizes is profound. Not sure the 20” tires are an upgrade or down grade.

Adjustment to rear transom roller arms

The roller brackets “float” to adjust to the contour of the hull. Typically use a bushing of some sort to minimize wear. https://store.ezloader.com/roller-arm-cast-aluminum-rflr

    I should add a 2nd battery...

Added a second battery with Blue Seas “add a battery” kit. Went with two (2) FLA deep cycle batteries for increased storage and durability related to DoD issues. Put in a lot of runtime. Typically make it a month before I need to supplement with external charging.

White residue on prop shaft, thrust washer, inside prop etc.

Your typical run of the mill saltwater calcium/corrosion buildup. What is that "white" plate sitting on the on the thrust washer? Looks like you have aluminum, brass and steel, possibly stainless in contact with each other. Not good in a saltwater environment. Guessing your sacrificial...

    Bait and Livewell

My first boat was a 19’ cuddly I/O with indoor/outdoor carpeting. Chumming became popular about that time. Stop and pickup a 5-gallon bucket of chum before heading out. You know where is is going….lol Not sure what was worse…..dried chum in the carpet or the week old squid that somehow found...

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

Rented 2025 Camry Hybrid LE to drive to Chicago and back a couple of weeks ago. Nice car....hard to tell when it went from electric and ice mode. Got a pretty impressive 46-47 MPG. My Civic EX only gets 35 MPG

    Bait and Livewell

If that is the case, why do most have aeration and recirculation functions? In have neither. Instead, I have scoop type intakes on the bottom of the hull. Provides a continuous flow of raw water whether running or at rest. I use my bait well as an ice chest for drinks. Use the live well for...

    Bait and Livewell

I too was taught to keep fish alive until ready to be cleaned. Wasn't until I mated on a charter boat as a teen that I learned keeping fish stressed out and live, in a stringer or in a tank of urine and feces infused water, wasn't ideal to maintain meat quality. If we're keeping fish for...

Fusion radio flaky & freezing up

Evrything you described are classic incoming power issues. One of my plotters has a 10.6 threshold, more on that later, that I use as a bellwether to replace my batteries. The 12 VDC is the supply, not the operating voltage of the unit. Most electronics operate off 5 VDC or below. As such...

prop continues to loosen up on shaft

Remove the prop nut like everyone else….. No need to remove the insert from the hub to change a prop

Is this possibly just a gas filter? I'm thinking it's "much more".

I do fuel lines every 10 years. Filter media breaks down and clogs up over time. Filters should be changed annually at a minimum

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

We used to go for on Sunday drives with the family as a kid. Went “exploring” as teens and young adults. Still enjoy seeing the world go by but unfortunately, spending the last 25 years “on the road” severally limits my ability to get “lost” anymore. Having said that, setting GPS to take the...

prop continues to loosen up on shaft

Are you sure the hub is fully seated? Using the supplied locking nut/ tab washers? When I installed an Enertia on my boat, the specific factory torque wouldn't seat the hub. Used the press at work to seat the hub.
