Priming fuel system for new engine first start.

I would fill the filter with fuel and pour a few ounces of fuel down the carb. And keep cranking down to 15 seconds with a break between tries.

    USB charger

I've installed a few that are similar in boats and cars. They seem to work just fine. I've never installed the ones with the power switch though. I've installed mine on a circuit that's off when the key is off.

    Sterndrive

Probably but I've never used one. I usually lay the drive on it's side and use a hammer and sockets to drive them out. If it's something I can get in a vise then I use the vise and sockets to press them out.

If you removed the yoke assembly from the u-joint you could test the spline condition by trying to insert the yoke by itself.

Test running my Mercury 90HP (outboard)

As long as the muffs fit properly and you get good water flow you can run it as long as you like. You should not let it go higher than approximately 1500 rpm and then only for a bit. DO NOT rev it high while in neutral. Only when in the water in gear.

    Question about battery post connections

I've used those posts countless times with different makes of batteries and never spun the posts. You're just trying to make a good electrical connection that doesn't loosen.

Good you got it out. Should be able to find something. I'm guessing they're stainless.

1968 StarCraft Starchief MC-1 Gimbal Pins

Those have nails holding them in. If you look to the right of the hinge pin in the picture you'll see it. The nail is bent on the end facing the bow. Be careful with them. They are no longer available. Once you have the nails removed you can use a slide hammer to remove the hinge pins.

Dead battery after sitting on trailer

A common drain on batteries are the panel/gauge lights. If you have a separate switch for them it's easy to switch them on and not notice it in the daytime.

    Boat Ramp Etiquette

I always ask if the other boats are coming or going. If they are sitting there they are often doing one of the above.

Correct RPM for setting timing on muffs

I set my idle speed and timing in gear in the water. If I was to do it in neutral I would try 9-10 maybe?
