Most Force motors were sold on entry level boats.----Doubt there were many tiller models sold.----I do not know what tools you have or level of ambition.-----I think a tiller from another brand can be fitted.

The pulse limiter fitting is a ----" flow fuse "----for the VRO housings.------Keeps the pump from becoming a small bomb should there be high airflow / pressure spike from the crankcase.
Are there ----" commercial "--- models that use a different gearcase.------Those often have a W in the model number.-----Did you look at the 1985 model year ?
