    Well---If it is a 2 stroke, then I do not believe there is a cylinder head on that motor.-------------Everything can be repaired if you have the time and the tools.-----A shop would only make you mad with the total cost of this project.----Shops can no longer compete with modern factories...

    Then run with timing light hooked up 1 cylinder at a time.----See if spark is steady at all RPM.

    ??????-----You use the gap testing tool to test maximum ignition output.-----Spark is generated by the spinning flywheel.-----Has nothing to do with " load "-----And if it can jump 1/2" gap there is nothing wrong with ignition.----Focus on other areas of motor basics.

    About 1/2 HP I think.----But that is both motors operate at the rated RPM on this boat.

    The primer valve is only used for cold starts.-----When motor is running it does NOTHING.

    Motor likely suffered from a broken piston ring.----From where I sit I would say rebuild time with 4 new O/S pistons.------A very common failure I think.
