    Don't know what to say about the gauges but if power is not applied and they are all the way over, most likely they will need replaced So far as wiring, need to use the ABYC color coding

    Guessing The oil pump and shaft is connected together with a retainer (item 5). The retainer in most cases is nylon and both pieces sort of snap together. Maybe when Dist was removed it slipped up a tad. Could prove out the theory by taking something like a screw driver and tap the shaft down...

    Sorry but no, the codes were seen on VV after keys turned OFF and then Bat switches turned OFF, then and only then did the error show up on VV VV should be powering down when Bat switches are turned off, but it's not

    Scanner does not show any voltage codes for either motor, stopped or running. Only shows up when motors are shut down and Bats are turned OFF As before Vessel view does not turn off (power down) anymore and could be because of the code Did find code 711 on port motor, starboard has none...

    While changing from 80 to 40 Gal might be ok for your friend, if it was ever to be resold might be a real bad deal breaker. Also might only use 25 Gal now, but that doesn't leave much for safety, and it's not likely all the fuel can be used
