    One battery losing power

When was the last time the batteries loaded tested? Disconnect the batteries from each other and test independently. A fully charged 12 volt battery should measure roughly 12.7 volts. A battery is considered dead at 12 volts

Minn Kota Trolling Motor Faulty switch or coil?

Proves nothing…. Simple selector switch. The odds of all 5 contacts being bad is next to zero. Did you check continuity between C terminal and the other 4 speed contacts? If that checks there is nothing wrong with the switch. What voltage do you get between C terminal and ground!

Minn Kota Trolling Motor Faulty switch or coil?

Looking at the schematic you have a switch and a “speed coil” in the circuit. No functional description of the coil but it feeds what appears to be a simple speed selector switch. Terminal C is the incoming power to the switch from the speed coil. Check incoming power then check for...

    OX- 66 - 2 stroke - 250 Yamaha , Think I have fuel issue after filter change ?

Trapped air can be problematic when changing the separating filter. Some people fill the bowl with gas prior to installation, but that can be dangerous and messy. When changing the filter I run the motor for a bit to fill the carbs with fuel. I then change the filter and start the motor again...

    Burned boat and insurance offer

If it's the 1996 boat and motor listed in your profile you are not going to be happy with the book value assigned to the boat. Assuming you have insurance on the boat, I'd submit a claim to your insurance and let them argue it out Good argument for the need of an Agreed Value policy on an...

Oil in breather hose/2012 Mercury 20 4 stroke

4 stroke outboards are notorious for “making oil”. Check to make sure the oil isn’t over filled or smells like gas.

    Grew 178grs outboard oil filter

You may have a mesh filter on the intake at the bottom of the oil tank but there is no oil filter per say on a 2 stroke

    Transducer mounting options?

I guess I’m fortunate that my transducer bolts to the bottom of the mount. Only the bottom 1/8” of the transducer extends below the hull.

    Transducer mounting options?

Most transducer mounts were “breakaway” until the large, side scan transducers hit the market. The best thing I ever did was install a transducer board on the transom. Drilled the two mounting holes. Filled with epoxy then back drilled so no glue involved in the installation. The 3/4”...

1992 Mercury 100 HP -Inline Fuel Filter

Filter are filters…. The difference is the filtration rating and pressure drop through the filter You could not filter two stroke oil out of the gas if you wanted to ;) The 5/16” line is a problem as it restricts the flow of fuel. Need a 3/8” in-line filter, if anything The filter in question...

    E10 and old 2-stroke engines?

Swap out any fuel lines that are 10 years or older. Buna gaskets (black) make it 4-5 years before they start to weep with E10. Wouldn't change gaskets until they start to weep or the carbs need rebuilt

    E10 and old 2-stroke engines?

Bought a Stihl 028 to clear a lot in 1989. Same thing happened to the plastic “aquarium tubing” in the tank @ 2015 or so. Replaced with Tygon tubing. Watching, but still no problem with the same line on my shindiawa trimmer of the same vintage

High speed live well pick up.

First off, what pump do you have? Where is the pump mounted? What are you calling a “high speed pickup? Once primed, a pump will typically stay primed until you remove the boat unless you have a leak in the supply line.

Battery Isolator switch and Perko switch

It’s either the isolator or the ACR. You can’t have both in the circuit What battery switch? Starter typically goes to “common” where you currently have the power panel connected.

    Live well 1984 Aquasport Osprey.

The drain should be plumbed directly overboard. On a boat that old, the drain hose could have rotten or broken off and your dumping the water in the forward part of the bilge and the limber holes are clogged
