    does anyone know?

Acceptably to who? Professional Boat Builder doesn’t seem to think so. https://www.proboat.com/2012/07/beware-the-brass Have 9 thru hulls, 4 of which are below the water line, plus 2 seacocks and a garboard plug on my boat… all bronze. Ten wrongs don’t make a right

    does anyone know?

No brass on a boat. Bronze only Brass is roughly 34% zinc. Will be eaten away the same as your zinc anode. Bronze is alloyed with tin.

Livewells filling with water not hooked up or turned on

My fish box and bait well both drain directly overboard. Don’t want that stinky stuff in the bilge When not in use, the sea **** on the pump intake(s) should be closed to prevent the flow of water into the boat.

Long Beach WA / Astoria, OR area Boat ramps?

Interesting claim. I had to look it up knowing that Hatteras island NC has 50 miles of Atlantic beaches https://www.pacific-coast-highway-travel.com/Longest-Beach-in-the-USA.html

    Humminbird bird monitor

What you want to do can’t be done. Not only do you need a second video driver, you also need a means to support the HMI interface between the two units. The best you could do is connect two units via NMEA 2000 network

    Blige pump problem!

A good argument for not using an “automotive” starting battery on a boat. A Marine starting (dual purpose) battery is a much better choice. FWIW: He is using a solar rated battery. I use the same battery in my solar powered electric fence installations. Get about 2 years out of a battery...

    Blige pump problem!

Volts x Amps = Watts 12 x 7.2 = 86.4 Watts Are you sure about that? Most "auto-sensing" pumps cycle a small detection circuit every so often. Rule pumps cycle (1.2 mA) every 2.5 minutes looking for the presence of water. And we would be correct. Conventional flooded acid batteries are not...

    Blige pump problem!

3A = 38 Watts per minute of run time 12V, 7.2 AH = 92 watts of battery capacity Battery provides 2.4 minutes of run time Auto sensing runs the pump for X duration, every X minutes. How much current is used per cycle and how often is the pump "sensing? Your battery is way undersized for the...

Solar pool heater water flow question(s)

100' of 100 psi, black HDPE pipe total. Figure 50 to 60' in the coil. Bear in mind the temp rating is at rated pressure. Open ended flow has no pressure, thus irreverent for this exercise, unless you exceed melting point of the pipe ;)

    Blige pump problem!

What make and model is the bilge pump? Output of your solar charger? Could be a couple of things: Is the pump by chance auto-sensing? Supply (charger) not meeting demand (pump)? Lead acid batteries don't live long if DOD is greater than 50% (~12 volts) Electric motors will often "leak"...

    Repowering a 87 20ft sportcraft open fisherman

What happened? How did it blow? A guy in Idaho Falls advertising a number of 150HP+ outboards on Craig's list

    Repowering a 87 20ft sportcraft open fisherman

60 hp on that boat would be a dog at best. Certainly wouldn’t plane. Would cost you more to buy and rig the two small motors than to replace the existing motor with another 2 stroke

Guest Charger keeps blowing 5A fuse

Brown with black is bilge pump. Check to make sure the pump is not burned up. A stuck float switch will do that

Mercury bigfoot 60hp what running battery voltage is normal? 12.6-12.7v currently. Replace stator now?

Leak down isn't a pump issue. You either have a stuck check valve(s), a leaking trim cylinder or both When was the as time you checked level and or changed the trim fluid? System could be contaminated with water

    too much voltage?

Unusual to have a 100 Hp outboard with an unregulated charging system. What year and model is your motor? If your reading true voltage, some electronics will take issue with it being so high
