    I’m afraid it’s a common issue for these particular Engines to have this issue. 99% of the time, as a result of laying them on their side (even the correct side). They just seem to take oil from the sump up into the carb, when laying on their side. Otherwise, not a bad engine.

    If I was you, I’d back out now…you’re showing your ignorance a little there. But my boats slip vary. Of the three currently…they stand between just under 4%-6% at their best usually. To suggest that 30% is “conventional” is just off the chart silly. Most boats will be around 8-15% I’d think.
