    I need home electrical help!

We stayed outside working on the garage until 1am last night. I still haven't updated my Garage project thread (link in my sig line) but I'll post these two pix here for reference. This is the original, upside down main box as it is right now. (I purchased a replacement this morning.) If we...

    I need home electrical help!

My buddy is wiring up my steel garage. Not connected to power from the meter yet. Most of the work is done. Looks great. But, when he got over to the main breaker panel, he discovered that the box is upside down! I don't like it that way. If I buy a new box two of the black wires will be too...

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

Took the new range for a test drive this evening. Worked great!

    Some good stuff happening

I've done a lot of grading on the west side of the building. The ground slopes quite a bit from west to east and I've had some serious water erosion issues. Finally got the grading done the other day. And this is what I have to fix as a result of the water erosion. :grumpy: I sure hope my...

    Some good stuff happening

This is the barn style "porch light" which will be installed over the walk-thru door at the front of the building. And today I took delivery of 8 of these 4 foot long LED shop lights, each with an output of 4500 lumens. That'll put 36,000 lumens into the garage. That should brighten things...

    Some good stuff happening

I have an update! I finally got started with the electric installation. Well, my young neighbor buddy is doing the work. The boy is the tool "go-fer" and I supervise! My bud is doing the work on an "as available" basis. So sometimes he's there and making progress and other times he's...

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

Here's my latest update on why I'm not getting any boat work done! I've been working on my garage project. Check my "good stuff" thread for the latest there. ;) However, I did make a decision on the boat stripping effort. I really don't want to keep using scrapers so I bought a...

    This Is Definitely Me

I'm 64 and have lived lots of places. Frigidly cold (-20F) and blisteringly hot (+125F). Back in 1983 I went from +115F to -10F in less than 24 hours. I wasn't dressed for it either! I like it here although I wouldn't mind living in north Georgia, but it's too late for that now...

Yeah, it's tough this time of year. :D

Made it to Austin/Round rock, TX!! Need A Truck - Advice :)

I have a 1995 F-150 with the 5.0L V8 and it really lacks low end torque. Get it above 2500 RPM and it does okay but it really isn't an ideal tow vehicle. The 5.4L would be a better choice. But mine is purty!

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

Hi guys. Sorry, I don't have boat work to report yet. But I'm still around! ;) I ended up back in the ER again last week. The good news is that the X-ray finally revealed the kidney stone. The bad news is that it's still in there and I have no idea when it will finally exit! :eek...

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

Got some more grading done around the garage this afternoon. Without catching the tractor on fire! The area is usable as is, but I'd like to do more. That little 40 inch x 10 inch box blade is slow. Gets it done, but slowly. Am hoping to get some more stripping done on the KF...

Yup. Nylon bristles on the wheel. Seems to work okay around the rivets so far. :)

    Help! I broke my wall!

Done! Just finished. Thanks for all the help and suggestions! :) Bought a "Jumbo" sized plate and used the aluminum stock I mentioned before. Had to make a couple new ones to match the over sized plate. And I also bought a couple of longer screws so that it was easier to pull things together...

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

Finally! A tiny bit more boat stripping progress! Been very busy doing doctor and home stuff again. But I really wanted to do SOMETHING. Ya know? Got the flour/Jasco mixed up and glopped it on the hull as usual about 5:20 this evening. About that time my wife came home from work and...

    Help! I broke my wall!

No stud nearby in the wall. And it's an exterior kitchen wall, full of pink fiberglass insulation. So no way to get to it from the other side. I did some more research this afternoon and found this video. Decided to try a variation of that method. I fabricated up some 3/32 aluminum bar...

    Help! I broke my wall!

I needed to replace a 1-gang GFCI outlet in the kitchen. My buddy and I got the new outlet, wired it up correctly and started to put it back into the outlet box. He was having difficulty so I helped... and pushed way too hard and crushed the drywall where the outlet box attached. :facepalm...

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

Yeah, I normally do but was in a rush. My bad. I'd worked that little tractor really hard. Should have known better. :nono: I need to find a manual to see if there's an idle mixture adjustment for the engine. Anyway, in addition to some superficial damage and burned insulation...

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

So I've been doing doctor stuff and more grading around the garage over the last couple of days. The little tractor did a fine job of getting things leveled out. The new frame holes allowed me to angle the box blade. Worked great! It took hours and hours, but it came out fine. Moved a...

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

I also made more progress with the grading at the side of the garage. Not done, but getting there! The tractor now sits level along most of the side space. Supposed to get down to 65 degrees tomorrow morning, so I'll hit it again then.
