    Some good stuff happening

Thanks for the support, guys! Much appreciated! Keeps me motivated. :joyous: The only thing I did to improve my garage/workshop today was to install this little Bluetooth adapter on my old Pioneer receiver. Worked great! Now I can listen to my phone tunes without having to plug cables into...

    Some good stuff happening

Forgot to mention... my wife's employer also tossed out this heavy steel rolling filing cabinet with lower shelf. I scarfed it up for easily movable storage. Gotta get a handle attached to the front because the lid only stays closed when locked and there's no key.

    Some good stuff happening

So we got out there this afternoon and got to work. First thing was to repair the erosion damage caused by the rain yesterday. No biggie. Fixed it then covered it with tarps for now. Will be buying and planting some Rye grass to help hold things in place till the concrete gets poured. Not...

    Some good stuff happening

Gaining ground here? Made some progress this week. My quest for shelving, tool storage, speakers and a work bench of some kind kept me busy. One thing I want to do is get rid of the particle board storage shelves. They?re already showing signs of difficulty and stress out there. I also...

    Okay, everybody outta the pool!

For some odd reason, this visitor didn't have any buds in the communal pool this morning!

    Some good stuff happening

Well guys, the boy and I did get out there today and got things cleaned up and organized a bit more. Fishing stuff, boating stuff, tools and supplies, RC airplane stuff, etc. all separated into different areas. At least on one side of the boat. Not much on the other side but we'll get that...

    Some good stuff happening

Need pix of nightmare garage! :D Important note: Having the shelves above the window means that the Chieftain won't bump up against anything when both boats are in the garage at the same time. It's pretty tall and could hit a shelf that sticks out at the mid-window level. Yeah, I'm definitely...

    Some good stuff happening

Well guys, we had a great but too short visit with my daughter here. She and my wife got to know each other a bit more, did the girl bonding thing and ended up telling tales about me to each other!  December was pretty frantic for me and only yesterday did I have enough "alone...

    1976 Starcraft Chieftain 18' OB - restomod

Thanks for the advice guys! I did pick up the steering wheel today. The seller was kind enough to actually drive it 20 miles to the VA Hospital where I had an appointment this morning. Then he knocked 5 bucks off the price too, so only $20 for this nice 16" wheel! :D Oh yeah, the seller...

    1976 Starcraft Chieftain 18' OB - restomod

Thanks for the support, guys! Much appreciated! :joyous: Being a patient is what gives me patience. :crutch:  QUESTION: Would this stainless steering wheel be appropriate for my Chieftain? The Chief doesn't have a steering system in it at all right now. I've been planning on using...

    Some good stuff happening

Went fishing today. Caught nothing. "Not a creature was stirring..." But at least we got out there. Had my daughter with us this time too. She's not been out in a boat (of my own) with me in 20 years.

    Need some furniture repair advice

And this morning I got a new problem. I asked the boy (10 y.o. stepson) to measure the cart dimensions. When he finished measuring the raised leaf, he tried to just push it down instead of unlatching it underneath. When the leaf resisted, he put his full weight on it to force it down. And...

    Need some furniture repair advice

I'm a tinhead! No fiberglass! :peep: I got pretty close! I started out buying this brand new steel cart but it looks really tacky for the dining room and was a bit small, so I opted for the much larger oak cart. We'll move the steel cart out to my new steel garage once the oak cart is...

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

While out and about chasing down furniture for my home project, I also picked up these trolling motor connectors for the Kingfisher. Got 'em on craigslist for 15 bucks. Saved some money there! It'll be sometime after the New Year before I get around to installing them. Not exactly sure...

    Some good stuff happening

Yeahh... I know. Been so busy that I haven't had time to get the stuff outta the KF and rearranged in the garage. But I did send the garage speakers back! They just couldn't perform on the bottom end. Sigh. Me likes me bass! :blue: My daughter arrives from up north tomorrow for a 6 day...

    Need some furniture repair advice

Yesterday we picked up this used solid oak microwave cart from craigslist. The price had been $100 for several days then suddenly dropped to $25 so we jumped on it. It's a good sized unit and will work well for our application. Picked it up after dark and didn't notice any damage... until one...
