    Source of Oil Leak

Other carbs can though. When tilted up

    Antifreeze circulation through engine

Your thermostat wouldn’t open by the time you’ve emptied the water out the source, for a start. just drain it all out…fill it with AF through the hoses and leave it filled with it. All will be well.

Inconsistent bogging/acceleration until it hit around 20mph - Mercruiser 5.7l

Sure sounds like a carb issue to me. Is that a 4 barrel carb ? Sounds like the secondary are delayed or sticking ?

Mercruiser Alpha one Gen 2 4.3l MPI LOW Idle

Surely we should perhaps think about fuel quality first off, if we haven’t already ? Is she sitting steady at those low rpms or hunting ? What plugs do you have in her ? The plugs look like ? Wet or dry or coloured ? Proper iridium spec plugs ?

    Source of Oil Leak

I’d say that’s normal when the engine is tilted up. Or at least, I know it to happen often. Just runs out the carbs

2005 VP 5.0Gxi 2500-3000rpm max. Low pressure Pump 0 psi

No gap to adjust if it’s the right iridium plugs. Other than that…I’d say that when these are cold, they over fuel until they warm up. Always good to let her come up to temp first. Or it could be an issue with the idle air control valve. Of course…no need to mention the biggest issue of all wkth...

1983 Mariner 9.9 - Looking for carb parts

Should just be the old Yamaha 9.9/15hp engine. Loads of them still about, here in the U.K. indestructible things.

    2002 Yamaha XLT 1200 winterization

No probs. Just tell him to be very aware of those power valves.

    2002 Yamaha XLT 1200 winterization

No lube to change Scott. Yeah. Well worth while throwing AF through it, if you are somewhere cold. I’m in Scotland. Always did it with my old GP800R and the later Fxho, if I knew I wasn’t going to be using them through winter or through a cold snap. But technically, if the ski is tilted to the...

1983 Mariner 9.9 - Looking for carb parts

Hi. If it is a 1983 It will be a Yamaha engine. Mercury are unlikely to be able to help you, I’d think.

    2002 Yamaha XLT 1200 winterization

They should technically expel any water if it’s ran with a few blips of the throttle. But I and most I know, always did this then ran some antifreeze through it by gravity, through the hose flushing attachment. Fog it whilst doing this and a quick grease around her. Cover everything with...

Where do you like to prop your boat?

I think you’re spot on, where you are. Doesn’t get too much better. If you really want to play around, you’ll need to make sure you know exactly rpms and not ball park, like the dash will only allow. A 350 mag mpi running close as that to 5000 rpm loaded and seeing nearly 50 mph gps…doesn’t get...

Lovely boat at the slip. Any ideas ?

Thought that myself. I think they are trying to tie it off by the bow, not having fenders for the side. Making some effort at it anyway 😂

MACERATOR PUMP ? WHERE IS IT LOCATED ON A 1997 WA2450

Sometimes they are stand alone things…but good chance the pump is actually situated on top or integral to your waste tank. There will be a fairly heavy duty fuse and wiring going to it. High load thing.

    2001 496 HO - IAC 99% Missing 1000 RPM

Vacuum leak perhaps ? Inlet manifold gasket ? or your fuel is bad

    A few issues. 1989 Starcraft Islander. 4.3

To be honest. It’s not anything conclusive, what you’ve posted in the video. Water coils run out here for many reasons. Depends on when it was ran, angle of the boat on trailer…water coming from manifolds etc.

2005 VP 5.0Gxi 2500-3000rpm max. Low pressure Pump 0 psi

Hi BT. The standard bpr6fs are totally wrong for these mpi engines. Horrendous in fact. They were never for these engines. The manual calls for minimum platinum and ideally iridium. Not un common for people to put these in by mistake though. Thinking they were just the same spec as a carb or efi.
