    I honestly didn’t think the merc 3.3 2 stroke had a neutral. Any I’ve known have been direct drive forward only. Perhaps they made one in the later years that had a neutral. The one I had was I’m sure about late 90’s or about 2000. That was certainly forward only direct drive.

    Hi. Almost certain that none of those two mentioned are suitable. NGK 5599 are what you’re after or at the very least, the ac delco 41-993. No doubt that the iridium NGK run best in them. The ac delco 993 are platinum and don’t work so well at all. The ones you have I’m not sure what they are...

    It’s a 2003 Motorola (I think) 555 mpi ecu, if that helps.

    It’s more power low down I could do with. It’s pretty potent further up. Open to more power everywhere though, haha. Been on the hunt for good used a 6.2 mpi for years. But never found one as nice as the engine I have is.

    Undoubtedly a carb issue or fuel delivery thing. mom a side note. Your compression gauge is telling porky pies. No way one of the cylinders is 160. 120 would be as new. I’ve rebuilt one of these not long ago. If you’re genuinely getting 160 psi…you’ve got some water or fuel sitting in there...

    Guys. Don’t give me a hard time here…asked this previously I’m sure…but is anyone any further forward in mapping or bypassing the ecu in these ? I’m perhaps recently made aware that perhaps whipple have a license to do this ? Is there any other alternative? Has anyone managed to ditch the 555...
