    I’d have a 19” tempest on that set up, personally. Good to be right up the rpm wot on these mpi 4.3. They can be very lazy out the hole with too much prop.

    Thanks chris. Appreciated. fuel lines we will look at next for sure. We might have been under the impression that there was no anti siphon valves perhaps. Both engines have separate feeds from the tank too. But will look or sure. Thanks again.

    Hopefully it’s what has been suggested above. But the pessimism in me might suggest that you might have a hydro locking issue. Caused by water in cylinders. Usual suspects would be the frost damage to manifolds and or risers. Hopefully not though.

Just know that if it’s a 1.5 ratio alpha, then even the quickest of hulls would struggle to run a 21” with your engine. Even a 19” might be a few hundred rpm off...

    When you disconnected the gear oil reservoir, did you disable the alarm float switch ?     If you are doing 3700 rpm and only 6mph...something is majorly wrong. Something is slipping or sheared in the drive train. Most likely candidate is the prop hub.
