How do you get negative voltage in a 12 volt negative ground circuit?
The trim motor changes direction by reversing polarity.
The blue and green wires are direction (up or down).
Ground is typically tied to motor via ground strap under a motor mounting screw.
Example:
Solenoid 1 routes power...
The rudder reference is a much needed “option” that needs to be ordered separately.
The update rate of gps is slow (1 second) and filtered (averaged) Without the rudder feedback, the AP is left guessing on its location and the required (course) corrections between updates. Slow speed wondering...
Are you sure you have the right Gateway?
I'm not seeing a 10 pin connector. Only 6 pin inline adapter to NMEA 2000 connector

Are you on well water by chance?
I have the exact same issue with our downstairs bathroom.
The drainage holes (jets) under the rim of the toilet get clogged overtime with calcium and lime deposits. Without this "swirling" action, the toilet will not flush completely the first time around...
I wouldn't use either to seal screw holes below the water line. The stuff (5200) makes great “gaskets” but has limited use as a thread sealer
Installation instructions (Bennett) call for installing the trim planes with stainless steel screws dipped in marine epoxy...
Operating voltage of the Ray unit is 8.0 to 16 Vdc.
If your voltage is dropping below 8.0 volts during "start", you have an issue with your battery(s), Cables, Starter or all of the above. Normal drop is 10.5 to 9.5 V range
What is the recommended CCA rating for your starting battery?
What...
I've always used my electronics shutting down on "start" as an indication that my starting battery is in need of some attentive. i.e. not fully charged, getting weak, etc.
I run Deep Cycle batteries (grp. 27) for both "start" and "house" batteries. Increased battery life three (3) fold over the...
Steering can go either way. Will need hydraulic if you decide on an autopilot at a later
I personally would never own a boat with tabs. One of those things you probably wouldn’t miss but can’t live without once you got used to them
Carpet is for living rooms and bedrooms, not boats, especially...
What is “good”?
Are the numbers identical?
To check insulation you need a known load.
Check voltage at source and compare to voltage at end of cable. Then check each leg referenced to ground.
If it’s a homemade cable I would start by removing, inspecting and rewiring each connector.
The only...
You really need to do some troubleshooting.
The stator and power pack at involved in the circuit
Throwing parts at the problem will get pricy in a hurry
With a fresh pump I’m pushing 30 psi.
I change water pump when I drop below 4 at idle
Don’t know why you would need a lift pump unless used as a “fix” for something else. I run a stock oil/fuel (OMS) pump with no problems
I know have 3 years on Ford 3.5 EB in my truck.
My only complaint, if I have one, is spark plug life. Started getting the slightest idle “tick” @ 40k. Changed plugs and all is good again.
Awesome towing motor. The low end torque is impressive.
First thing first... compression test
Need to test fuel pump pressure per the manual. All bets are off if your fuel and oil pump is suspect in the least.
If it sat for any length of time you should probably remove and clean the throttle bodies.
Check needle valve and floats for proper height...
“With Ford, the problem is there, but it’s not destroying the engine like it is with GM,” he says. “That might be because Ford ran the V6 EcoBoost engines through the Baja 1000 and they essentially beat the crap out of them and I think they put a little bit more engineering into the engine, so...
