    215 sundowner transom

I measured the deck bulkhead to the cabin, side box width, where the cutout for the engine was, where the seats were, any visible bulkheads all to one point of reference. Hatch locations etc. I measured transom forward. What you'll find is nothing is anywhere near perfect. From there I cut the...

    215 sundowner transom

Take a lot of measurements, make a drawing, take photos. The engine mounts its easier to just hang the motor on the transom, slide the alignment bar in and mark about where the mounts end up. I made a jig based on another user on here but there are a few assumptions that go into that... 1 your...

I cross shopped everything when I got the Colorado I don't recall at this point what I dis liked about the ranger but out of all the midsized trucks I disliked the Colorado the least. I currently still dislike it the least. You describe what the 10 speed in the F150 has been doing since...

Alpha I Gen I Hinge Pin 'bushings' ?

If you grind a wrench paper thin you can drop the steering pin without removing the engine. That being said, depending on access, you're better off pulling the engine.

Alpha I Gen I Hinge Pin 'bushings' ?

I think some of the high performance models have a bushing in that spot.

Alpha I Gen I Hinge Pin 'bushings' ?

Also, is it the pin moving in the bore or the whole ring moving on the steering pins. There is a free play for that too. If its the ring its repair or replace. I think JR marine still repairs them.

Alpha I Gen I Hinge Pin 'bushings' ?

So you're talking the area under the limit switch cap has slop? Or that the bell housing moves side to side?

Cool concept. **** poor execution. Kind of like the Plaid. By the end of the drive I wanted nothing to do with it if that makes sense.

    I have a leak.

3 days on the water now. Three days leak free. I'll call this one solved. New shift bellows it was. Going to have to inspect them more closely moving forward

I can't comment on a stock application th400 as... well... thats just way before my time at this point. I've had three six speeds go out right around 60k and one holding on by a thread. The failure was always 6 neutrals but reverse worked. I didn't care to know the failure because its not my...

    Cars you should have kept.

I've personally owned only 3 vehicles though ive been through dozens with work. That being said the one that sticks out in my mind was my parents 95 Isuzu rodeo. Have a soft spot for that. Nothing special or cool. Just nostalgia I guess.

The 10 speed GM uses is pretty good. The ford version (have both) is god awful. The 6 speed is an odd occurrence because I've had early and late models (gmt900 and 2k) and you'd think they're completely different models. The 4l60e sucks but I admittedly have never killed one. I've cooked a...

Lol. All good. I have an 84 4+3 which is why I was curious. I know those changed every MY but was unaware of the skip shift. (Explains why!) I'd wait through the emissions warranty.

If you're wondering if your anti siphon valve is stuck, or clogged, here's a test....

My tank manufacturer actually reccomended the aluminum one for my tank. Galvanic corrosion was his reason. The original on my boat was 40 years old and still worked being aluminum... it ain't broke so I ain't fixing it lol. Though that isnt the norm.

That just had the default over drive engaged on the 4+3 no? The ZF6 had the skip shift I thought

My 4winns rotted from the top down. The bottom of the stringers were solid while the tops were rotted. The foam on the hull was also dry. There were foam holes that weren't sealed that leaked water in every time the carpet got wet. Typically everything does go though. My case wasn't normal.

I know it is. But its the principle of buying a manual in the first place, it should do what I want to do without having to disable crap or buy something.

Coincidentally, the only window mechanisms I've had to replace were manual ones.
