There's a place by me that does a brown sugar glazed buffalo prosciutto with bacon and fresh mozzarella in a similar manner. Very tasty. Looks awesome.

Again, bulk for like 5. Its a cheap cut but very tender if you do the final cut across. and probably the best beef flavor out of all of them. It got popular and stores like to charge a premium now.

That's about what I did as well. They were in the oven almost 2 hours and came out perfect. About 325. I hear you on the steaks. I'm still getting my ribeye in bulk and only paying like 11$ a pound... but have to trim and butcher it myself. I usually go in with three people, charge them 15 and...

Did a reverse sear steak the other night. Still actively laying off red meat as much as possible per my doctor.... but man is it tasty. Baked potatoes off to the right. Also not pictured, biscuits and roasted asparagus tossed with fresh parm.

If you're wondering if your anti siphon valve is stuck, or clogged, here's a test....

So I have to ask. The way the CFR reads to me seems that if the entire fuel system is above the static max height of the tank, no siphon protection is needed. Or am I interpreting that improperly? I have a siphon valve installed, but I had it off for a while diagnosing a different issue.

Caffeine good for sleepy old guy ?

So far haven't needed caffeine to get through a day. Everyone else I work with drinks it like water even on banker hours. Not gonna kill you I guess.

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

Yeah, it was a stretch where it was nearly one a week. I see a lot of broken down vehicles in my travels, just saw a lot of that model down and it caught my eye. They are comfy. If I could charge at home it would be a little more enticing but it's just inconvenient enough it's not worth it (for...

    A couple more I/O questions...

100% agree its a thunderbolt V, that should be a denso sticker. (Exactly what mine looks like) Also looks like batwing 1 piece manifolds.

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

Just out of curiosity, was there a recall for the front end of those? I still nearly once a week see a rivian with the front wheel sheared off in some capacity on the side of the road. Like a ball joint or control arm or something.

    2 stroke longevity?

Honestly, depends on the engine and maintenance. Some aren't known for being super reliable and most all others are. The yamaha 1200 with a power valve comes to mind for unreliable and even that is more a lack of service than it being bad... the bigger issue is that lack of service coupled with...

2005 4.3 liter Mercruiser ignition trouble

You could check 12v into the ignition switch since you're losing it there. If the supply side of the switch is fine your problem is the switch. If it also dips you'd have to start running down the line then back to the 10 pin and engine harness. There may also be splices up under the dash. I...

    Prop change on my bowrider

I had a 19p 3 blade when I was running the 3.0l. I tried a 17p 4 blade prop at the time and picked up 800 rpms... the 3 to 4 blade pitch scale is really dependent on propeller family. Only way to know is to test.

    A-Mercruiser I-Drive Unit: pre-load required?

If you're talking about the nut on the end of the yoke for the input shaft in which the gear set under the top cap is affixed to, the preload is set by initial shimming of the drive and the final torque of the nut. In later years it is set by measuring rolling torque. In your case, disassemble...

    Boat opinions

I prefer fixed mount VHF... no possible way of forgetting it at home or having a dead battery. And you can mount the antenna in a more effective location and get a better range out of it. That being said, I do supplement my fixed mount with a portable depending on the situation...

2005 4.3 liter Mercruiser ignition trouble

You should have 12v at the starter. Possibly a fusable link there then that ties up to the circuit breaker as a red/purple then goes to the 10 pin. From there if it visually looks fine check the red/purple at the dash. Obviously any point you can test it, if it tests good while cranking then...
