A few questions on a new to me 2020 Mustang GT

Could always try a chalk test. Still will get you in the ball park, though I doubt you'll be far off factory pressure on the tires. The CEL, if I were a betting man, may be exhaust related. I've seen newer vehicles be very very picky with exhaust mods....

    I should add a 2nd battery...

Thats what they said too. Just saying is all. Put them in like an ammo box or a flame pouch and then its fine. (What I do with mine)

    I should add a 2nd battery...

Don't keep the jump pack in the boat. They are good though. I've had to put out a few fires from them getting too warm in someone's car or boat though

2005 4.3 liter Mercruiser ignition trouble

If it's dropping that low you are getting a voltage drop on the ignition side of the electrical system... either bad ground or bad connection. Check purple at ignition switch while cranking to see if you see the same issue. From there you can at least determine if its an ignition switch issue or...

    I should add a 2nd battery...

I've never found a need to on my 19. Mainly because I don't have the room or want to lug around a second battery and I don't have very many electronics to drain said battery. That being said the 330 has 4 batteries. We added a dedicated house battery, pulled all house loads off the starting...

    Popped through the intake.

I was thinking also, #6 wire being like that may also be the reason why there is so little coloring on the plug itself.

    Popped through the intake.

Merc doesn't specify plug wire resistance. But... There is a note in service manual 18 to replace if it exceeds 30,000 ohms. so... 1. 14,620 ohm 2. 12,790 ohm 3. 15,550 ohm 4. 13,160 ohm 5. 12,400 ohm 6. 36,500 ohm Coil wire: 6,610 ohm So I'd say 6 is to be replaced... so they'll all get...

    Flux Marine Outboard Engines . . .

We're averaging about 5 lithium fires a week. I say let em out. Keeps us busy and forces the county to underfund us slightly less.

    Popped through the intake.

So I got it to do it today. Firstly, I went out for 4.5 hours. Spent 90% of that time between 3200 and 3600 RPM. No issue. Last leg I decided to open it up. Hammer down boat comes up to about 4600 then starts breaking up within seconds. Back off and it went away. So. I pull into a cove and do...

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

I didn't take stab at the msrp difference as I don't know what it would've been in 13. Most people I know say the maintenance is a wash other than brakes... seems to go a little longer but oil changes, wipers tires etc all are about the same unless you have the low rolling resistance tires which...

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

My gut says like $300 a year on fuel... but depending on environment that could be generous or stingy.

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

My girl has a 19 corolla. Nice enough without most of the tech. I do wish it had more than 3 windshield wiper speeds.

    Popped through the intake.

It is a Rochester, just with one idle jet instead of two. But I also have the 4bbl and intake ready to go. Sorry for any confusion. Honestly, I've only had 1 ethanol related issue on any of my boats and it was caused by being laid up for 2 years. Splash of stabilizer at the end of the season on...

Its a merc weber off the same engine set up to the factory specification. Having had them all, for this application I'll take the weber.

I like that my car lacks the safety features preventing me from making my own road.

    I have a leak.

So I kind of can observe the leak. Looks like the transom assembly itself. Need a smaller inspection camera to fit in there.

    Popped through the intake.

1 jet 2bbl mercarb. I have a 4bbl weber sitting on the bench to go in... once this is figured out for good.

    Popped through the intake.

So I just ran an hour sustained 3800... no issues. So I'm more confused than when I started.
