Chrysler 55 one cylinder occasionally fires

Franz Marine will have seals for the LU. All seals and o-ring are available except the seal for the shift shaft at companies that sells bearings, seals, power train stuff and other machine related details here in Sweden. I suppose they are in the US too.

1990 force 125 shift bellow leak

Yes that bellow act as a seal for the gear case. This was a bad design from the Force engineers and they changed it to a regular seal later. They are N/A as you state, maybe Franz Marine still provide a replacement as he did in the past. The replacement is expensive and a R/R stuff. You can try...

    1984 force 125 spark issue

You can troubleshoot these ignition system with a VOM and a DVA adapter. If you are handy you can build your own DVA adapter it is very easy. It contains a resistor, a electrolytic capacitor and a diod. Google DVA adapter and you get the schematic for it. Go to Outboardignitiondotcom and you...

1998 Force 120 Stalls out in Low Gear

Yes exactly what Topgun3690 says, use those cheap filter such as Fram G2 and other brands. BTW Fram is a good brand in my opinion, they make good oil filters for cars and these fuel filter are very good stuff.

1998 Force 120 Stalls out in Low Gear

Change the fuel pump diaphragm and put a clear cheap inline fuel filter between the fuel pump and the carbs. This is cheap stuff and useful. With a clear filter you can see if fuel is pumping to the carbs the troubleshoot from there.

1990 Force 120HP trim and tilt not keeping motor up no leaks

Looks like that is a part of the cover and it has broke from the rest of the cover. The cover has a grove for an o-ring and the two seals #18 and 19 are seated in the cover too.

Chrysler 55 one cylinder occasionally fires

I use a larger screw driver or a small crowbar and wedge it between the flywheel teeth and the starter gear teeth. It has always worked out to loosen the flywheel nut.

    1973 Johnson 9.5hp Motor Troubleshooting

From earlier in the thread you mention you have change both ignition coils. That´s right? From my experience ignition coils for OMC engines from 50-70.es suffers from dry out and cracks. Other brands like Merc and Chrysler did not have that problem. I have not have these issue with these brands...

1988 force 125 won’t stay on in water

The major different you have between running on muff and running in water is when in water you have the water back pressure. First check to run in water without the engine top cover on. Maybe you have an exhaust leak, check for leaks around the exhaust cover plate and the exhaust/water rubber...

    Tune Up Specs 1973 Johnson 50HP 50ESL73R

Sounds like it is running on one cylinder. Check for spark again with a timing light when running. I do not trust the cheaper inline spark tester, that is why I suggest you to use a timing light. I have use these cheap inline tester and got spark (it flashes) and when I check with a spark tester...

    1973 Johnson 9.5hp Motor Troubleshooting

Check the ignition system once more, it sound like an ignition issue. Check for spark with a spark tester or use a steel rod to connect in the HT wire rubber boot and hold it about 5/16 or more from good ground. Pull the recoil starter and you should see a spark jumping that gap. Replace points...

1998 Force 120 overheating under load

Do as topgun3690 says, use a IR thermometer and "shoot" at the head when the alarm goes off. You can test the sensor but hard to get an exactly value when it goes off (bimetal switch). Put it in a can with water and heat it up on a stove, check with a VOM when the switch close and check the...

Yes maybe running on one cylinder. Do a drop down test in neutral at idle. If running on one cylinder it will stop when you pull the HT boot at the bad cylinder.

1990 Force 120HP trim and tilt not keeping motor up no leaks

The gear and roller bearing furthest way in the gear housing is for forward. Looking at the pics it looks like you have to replace the roller bearing and race. Clean the gear and roller bearing and lube it with thin oil. Spin the bearing and listen and feel how it sound when spinning. Maybe it...
