    Ted, I would run some barnacle buster down the line, then see if the water pressure comes back. could also have a plugged HX. just pop the end caps off and look in the tubes.

    I personally have never had luck with the pertronix modules longer than a few months. 3 out of 3 went bad. 2 of them broken wires where they go into the unit. easy to check for spark (before you pulled it all apart). and determine what is wrong.

    The reason people recommend auraco is because on a typical 1/2" sheet, there are 6 layers where the common cheep stuff is 3 layers Any high layer count exterior grade plywood is fine. The key is multiple layers and exterior grade glue between the layers

    For the deck, remove both rotten layers and go from there. You will have a bit of foam work to do as that will be a soggy mess For the transom..... Remove motor Remove splash well and transom trim Remove plug tube Remove kick braces and any trim tabs or hardware on the outside Pull out bad...

    all on the same bank of the motor points to a failed exhaust port. as stated, run the motor a bit, then take compression readings. from there, do a leakdown test. from there, fix what is broken, then fix the cause
