Transom leak. 4.3l mercruiser with alpha one gen2

With a good transom, you can hang the boat from the outdrive or let the whole thing stand on the outdrive and never have an issue. The fact the gel is cracked around the transom shield means the transom "squished" enough to crack the gel Good transoms do not squish

    Changing colour of gelcoat question

Blue handles UV better than Red. clear has no UV inhibitor, which is why you see cars in Florida rust from the top down as the clear coat fails, then the paint fails Keeping your boat stored indoors and properly waxed helps

1996 Mercury 150 EFI - Tilt cylinder not holding pressure.

All of them need replacing. However the piston seals are probably bypassing if the cylinder doesn't hold load The materials used in the seals last about 15-20 years max and then they break down

    Volvo 5.7 rough idle

Then look at how you have the carb set up. If it smooths out above idle, there is an issue with the carbs idle circuit. Either a setting, or debris in the carb passages

Impellers do not suck water, they only push water So, start with a new impeller. If the old one is missing fins, find them Additionally, inspect the PS cooler for debris, and check the raw water inlet fitting on the outdrive (where the hose connects)

Transom leak. 4.3l mercruiser with alpha one gen2

That crack showing in the gel isn't good. That's an indicator of a soft transom Filling the boat with water was not a good idea a you now forced water into all the flotation boxes, etc. it also submerged your starter, so you now need to pull the starter apart to save it. If the water got...

Aluminum tubing for a new canvas soft top on a 1989 Starcraft Islander 221V

I would go longer on the main bow and intermediate bows. I would also sew in an isinglass panel just above the windshield (where your darker blue panel is). then you can actually stand and use it

    4.3 v6 Timing suggestion

The 4.3 is in the edge of detonation and the edge of reversion. The pertronix is a degrade from the thunderbolt ignition You will need to go to dry exhaust to use the rollin thunder cam. That cam has too much overlap for a marine motor with wet exhaust and you will be suffering from...
