    Engine Alarm / Wiring Diagram 2003 5.7GXI-D

Merc and VP offered alarms mounted on the motor and under the helm. The problem comes in from VP going their own direction and would not always put alarm on the motor. The standard harness uses the 10 pin connector but just uses 8 wires. Merc uses pin 4 (tan/blue) for the alarm, VP used same pin...

    4.3L Carb Mercrusier Auxiliary Heater

I would do what Formula did on my boat. Remove block drain plug from which ever side is closest to where you want to run the line. Connect fittings (barbed) so it will connect to hose feeding your heater. That is the supply line

    Lenco joystick/dual prop electric

My guess is the Bat's used to power tabs are not the Bats that would be used for trolling. Need a voltmeter and trace the connections

    Mercruiser shifter

The Alpha drive uses a shift interrupter on the shift plate to unload the clutch to be able to shift out of gear and into neutral. You need to check the connections and then if needed adjust the interrupter Need your serial number or at least what year?

Brass block drain plug leaking like a sieve

NPT does not have chasers To clean threads the tap just goes in and back out. Once it makes contact with all threads, the more it's turned the larger the hole is made. No issue with going a tad larger, just don't do more then maybe a 1/4 turn or so

Brass block drain plug leaking like a sieve

Like ESG there is something wrong in what you have tried The block drain is a NPT (national pipe thread) which means it is tapered thread, not straight. While thread sealant is very helpful, it's not absolutely needed with a cast iron block and brass plug What tap did you use and what plug?

    4.3L Carb Mercrusier Auxiliary Heater

Don't think that will work, that's more for raw cool water coming in from the pump. Biggest issue I'm having is finding a cut away view of you thermostat housing which is HERE and it's the pic on top. The sensor on top is and is actually in behind a section in the housing so it sits in the...
