    Outboard conversion w/out a bracket??

That splash well isn't the issue. Lots of boats out there running w/o splash wells It's all the modifications required to the transom to mount and support the outboard. Basically remove and replace in it's entirely.

Fuel Gauge making full, even with no power.

A "true" short to ground should have tripped a breaker or blown a fuse. More the symptoms of a current leak. Are you sure the sending unit is wired correctly? I have installed a couple of senders didn't match conventional color. Pink wire went to ground and black wire went to the sender

    Engine Overspeed?

Why would you need 6 different brands of scanner? I own four “modern” cars. Somehow manage to identify what little has needed to done with a $20 special off Amazon.

Fuel Gauge making full, even with no power.

Does not sound like a ground problem. You have a short to ground somewhere. Since the bilge pump no longer works, I would start there. They are notorious for leaking current to ground upon failure

Can't decide who's the most annoying

Exactly what not to do…..most of these “reach outs” are trolling. Once your email/phone number is confirmed as a valid contact, you get added to the “active” list and the phishing begins

Can't decide who's the most annoying

Used to get a ton of spam email and phone calls. Took care of phone calls by sending anyone not in my contacts list directly to voice mail. Blocked them if they didn’t leave a message. Have a spam blocker on my email. Catches probably 90% of the incoming spam. The rest get added to the...

Need help with converting MSD toilet to just portable, carry off and dump.

After looking at the kit you posted, the larger of the two certainly is not 1-1/2 NPT threaded cap as evidenced by the two piece design. Looks like a collar off a 1-1/2" trap adapter with a plastic thread protector as the cap The smaller one still looks to be a NPT cap, but the larger one...

    Rev 4 to something else

Interesting…stainless on stainless is infamous for gulling. Goes against all engineering norms. Wait and see how that works out for them in the long run. Solid hubs shouldn’t be a problem if you have a good prop shop. Sent my 4 blade (Evinrude Offshore Renegade) out for balancing and polishing...

    Engine Overspeed?

No, it’s not ok for any length of time. Limiting top end rpm to within rated rpm range is done by prop selection. You need to learn not to push the throttle to hard or increase the pitch of your prop

    Rev 4 to something else

Stainless?? You mean SSR series? Just a different sleeve material/configuration. Assuming they use rubber instead of delrin (hard plastic) sleeves which are used on the regular Flo-torque. Had to go with a Rubex, RBX hub to get rid of the prop rattle on my Enertia

my 1989 30hp yamaha is overheating, alarm goes off, motor is pissing strong, i check my thermostat \, it is missing, Could this cause to run hot?

A “strong” pisser is a meaningless measure of flow through the motor. Yes, not having a thermostat will cause an overheat Heat transfer is a delicate balance between flow and surface area. Throw either out of balance and you have problems

Johnson 1988 vro 225 hp fixing up a Frankenstein

The orientation of the crank to flywheel is determined by the key way. Rotating the crank to locate a piston in a particular location isn’t going to change that

Your too kind....any "emergencies" on my boat involves a 5 gallon bucket Looking at the parts manual for said unit, the unit has Discharge: PVC fitting connects to 1.5-in. (38 mm) ID discharge plumbing. Vent: 5/8-in. (16 mm) ID hose fitting Discharge - 1-1/2" Schedule 40 PVC Cap or Plug...

Male and female rubber boots, tool and steel pins that wires get crimped in.

Proper terminology would help….. Your looking for a (amphenol) ) connector (boot) with pins (little steel leads) and pin insertion tool (tool to push steel pins through boot) Connector part number can be found on your motor’s parts list

Kids only need to go to the bathroom after you leave the dock ;) Cleaning out a portable head a couple of times in the middle of summer will have you wishing you left well enough alone....lol After putting the "if you use it, you clean it rule" into effect, its strange how the kids no longer...

    Vinyl curtain shrinking.

The materials expand and contract with temperature. My enclosure side covers are roughly 36 x 48 inches. Doing the math, they grow/shrink roughly 0.20" between 40°F and 100°F. Ideally one would fit the covers at 70°F to split the difference.
