    Might pull the drive - if there was water in bellows gimbal or ujoints may be frozen as well.

    Definitely first place to look is gimbal bearing and ujoints. If water is in there probably both are an issue Can it wait hard to tell from my keyboard. Never let one go that far to locking up .

    Yes should take little effort like shift with two fingers. if it is hanging up jank drive and see if it is cable (likely) or shift rod and swivel shaft in bellhousing. Can get junk where the shaft slide is

    That hole goes into the exhaust passage which is has the cooling water that is dumped overboard (exhaust is open to water on prop end) . The clip on the hose for the speedo is supposed to go in there, likely it was broken off at some point.

    That is an alpha one gen 2 drive serial number would be on left hand side of drive by vent plug but looks like it may have been painted over

    Ahh, thats not good. Did it turn over freely. Would check outside of block and exhaust manifolds. Could have gotten down carb but not a great start. if you run into an issue a vortec 4.3 out of wrecking yard is an easy swap over

    I don't think oil pressure alarm shut off the engine. the alarm goes off when the engine dies and is still in run (assme you mean run not acc).     Do you have spark coming off the coil? Take wire from coil of center of distributor cap and put near a ground and crank? Do you have spark? If you do have spark take distributor cap off and see if cap and rotor are ok. Look down carb when you pump the throttle does it shot gas in?

    I suspect that you need a new starter which is to be expected after being dunked. You may have corrosion in wiring harness that is shorting and draining the batteries. Would start with a new starter and clean battery connections. Doesn't sound like you got it running ? Did you get the water...

    Both are in need of rebuild. The one overflowing has a float and/or needle and seat issue. the one you need to choke has plugged fuel passages. Would not use it if you need to choke one to run as that cylinder will be lean and likely detonating which can fry the piston

    Yeah mine has sensor in there that is not hooked up …not needed on carbed engine
