Bravo 3 can you change gear oil line without removing lower unit?

Check the condition of your bellows while u are in there. if your bellows are close to needing it the oil line is real easy once the bellows are out of the way.

Heat Exchanger blocked: recommendations how to flush or unclog?

On an alpha drive there is no need to split the drive and remove the impeller for winterizing . to the OP i would check the water flow to the heat exchanger when in the water. Also use OEM impellers they last much longer than the aftermarket ones. i would suspect if u have low water flow u lost...

2010 4.3L TKS Thunderbolt Ignition Troubleshooting

You will likely have trouble getting out of gear especially when docking without the interrupt switch. It makes the ignition stumble when coming out of gear to unload the back cut dog clutch engagement teeth. With water putting pressure on the prop you may find that it will hang up in gear when...

Those are exhaust flappers go in the top of the exhaust wye pipe . They do wear out but also get damaged by lack of water flow due to lack of impeller maintenance or blockage in raw water system.

Alpha One Gen 1 Outdrive Re-Install Issue

Yes on the grease witness marks Also forward gear for both controller and drive. You need to hold the prop CCW with a bungee etc to keep it locked in gear. You are turning the drive so it meshes with the splines on the coupler ?

    Early EZ Shift outdrive questions

I think he was gonna swap the transom housing entirely. Bottom line unless you have it all in front of you hard to tell whats what. Its like all the work you did to piece your 4.3 together but using parts that are a generation more obsolete...

You may have an issue with head gaskets if it got that hot. Would be on the lookout for water in oil when you get it back up and running.

    1992 Four Winns Horizon windshield

I think there is usually a number on the glass that would tell you if it is the same piece. I think on mine I have seen "Taylor Made ###" somewhere on the glass. Alternatively I would contact Four Winns to see if they can look up part numbers

    RPM Too High?

If you got 3 mph more at the same rpm with the SS prop then that is a lot less slip vs the original prop. Trimming out will get more of the hull out of the water and allow the engine to spin up more. Also you can reach a point where with too much trim the prop can cavitate especially in...

    Early EZ Shift outdrive questions

Yes but i cant tell you what else you will need. Areas of concern would be coupler as i think the early inline engines used a shorter driveshaft nit sure if coupler is different on later gen one and up. also might have an issue with exhaust down tube not sure if older one will fit newer transom.
