    Take a few minutes and read what diagnosing direction Bondo is sending you in before you get out the parts cannon.... Since coils rarely fail - you can easily check with an ohm meter.

    SEI does make a replacement Bravo 3 but I cant tell if it is merc or SEI. SEI would have marking on it. Since B3's tend to have corrosion issues likely someone repainted it and didn't bother to put the decals back on it.

    You are fine using extreme grease on wheel bearings here is a screen shot of the tube this superseded the 2-4-C and combined the functions of another grease they sold for bearings into one grease.

    When you are running at idle look down carb bores to see if fuel is weeping off the booster or bowl is over flowing. Either would be indicative of needle/seat/float issues or too much fuel pressure.

    You were barely tapping your rev limiter on the original prop- that is basically about as good as it gets prop wise for a rig like yours. That is exactly how I prop my boat, just cause it can hit rev limiter doesn't mean you have to leave it pegged there. One of the issues maybe overlooking...
