    Mercury 60 HP engine question

For that you would refer to the Model #, should be on the same plate that had the Serial Number.

    1987 125 force issues

Stutter? if you mean roughness, start with the Basics, Compression Test, Can the spark jump a 7/16" gap? Mixture Adjustment, and Carbs Clean, and floats set right I really don't see any advantage of trying to use a Balance Gauge on these engines. Likely was trying to Buffalo you, into thinking...

    Carburetors

By 1981, the Carbs on the V4 might have been Chokeless, using a different enrichment system for cold starts. I know my 82 140 didn't have the Choke. Carbs from both years had the same Airflow Sometimes the Linkage contacts were different through the years.

Fuel Consumption - Is This Right?

I doubt I will be doing any Boating this summer because of the Robber Oil Barons. Time to Nationalize(turn into a Crown Corporation) 1/2 of this Industry, as it is Too Important to leave it in the hands Private Companies

    1995 Talari 190 4.3 with 1.84 ratio 205HP

Enertia can lift the bow very high too. I was on a 20 ft Lund, where the Enteria caused it to Porpoise way too much, even trimmed in. There are Props that are Stern Lifters, they are usually Cleaver type Props. In 1986 I rode in a Flip of a 19 ft Baja, it was equipped with a Stern Lifter and it...

Mercruiser 5.7 wanting to stall at idle after driving around

Frankly I have never heard of Cliff's High Performance. I would have obtained the Parts from a Mercrusier Dealer, as they certainly have the Parts Listings The Number that was stamped on to the Carb Body outside the Secondaries? Being an 87, anyway to tell if it is the Original Carb?

    1995 Talari 190 4.3 with 1.84 ratio 205HP

The smaller hub diameter is allowing a lot of Ventilation to occur, especially upon initial Acceleration, which can be a good or bad thing depending on your boating needs. Props of normal hub for your drive may or may not come with Vent Holes in the Hub for a more controlled venting. Mercury...

Mercruiser 5.7 wanting to stall at idle after driving around

That brings into question, is it the correct Float? There are several dozen if not Hundreds different Floats for the Q-jet(different Shapes, Mass, and Fulcrum length) and as well as Inlet Valves(Orifice-Needle Size, Height. An Inlet Valve that has a larger Orifice will need a different Float...

Has anyone seen or heard of a trailer tire doing this?

I see a lot of Trailers with Passenger Car Tires or Truck Tires on them. Telling the Owner, he/she is Flirting with Disaster, is usually met with a 'It's None of your Business what I put on my Trailer'. Actually it is our Business as those Morons are on the Roads we also use

1994 sunbird 19 ft with 115 evinrude mixing oil

When the engine was New, it was likely broken in using Premix in the Fuel Tank, for the same reason, to insure the VRO was functioning. A few hours of extra Oil isn't a problem as only at Full Throttle will the VRO be supplying 50:1, at lower speeds, and loads, the amount of Oil is reduced, to...
