    Don't know your drive serial number or year, but you need the Merc manual, either 11 or 28 There are keepers on the top of the gear that get removed so the parts separate

    Wrong sensors, that is the gauge sensor The TKS temp switch is on the top front side of the intake TKS module is on the carb

    Green wires are Bonding wires and normally go from a ground buss bar to each thru hull fitting.

    Lots of fuel out the plug holes, would say your flooding. Need to get back into the carb and check float level and if there is a piece of crud in the needle seat

    Being TKS might have an issue with the Temp switch, diode or TKS module. Anyone of the above if it starts drawing more current, may drain power from the coil
