    Check for spark.----Sounds like it is running on 1 cylinder.----Good spark must be able to jump a 3/8" gap.

    I use West System epoxy.---More $$ but does not have that awful smell.

    ----The charging system on a 3 cylinder has very little capacity.----There is no surplus to run anything in the house.

    As I said " some will argue "-----Compression in the crankcase has nothing to do with compression in the cylinder.----I would say that you do not fully understand the finer points on your motor.----The reed valves could be missing and you will still get good compression in the cylinder...

    Some will argue.-----You might need to look into compression issues in the crankcase.----Possibly a bad lower crankcase seal .---Possibly a reed valve issue.

    The forward gear has a bushing and I suppose you could get it new one machined.----Reverse rides on a needle bearing in the propshaft housing.----Curious on the reason for your question.----Do you have this gearcase apart now?
