    Gel changes color in the sun. After 3 decades any patch will look like a patch. Even if you perfectly match it today, in a month it will be visible as the new gel will change at a different rate than the old gel unless you redo the whole thing

    You have a core motor. You can either get your motor rebuilt, trade it in as a core for a new long block. However with compression that low you are down on power

    Start at the battery and clean every connection all the way to the helm and back (by clean, use 300 grit sand paper and make it shiny enough your mother in law would eat off them). then tighten and seal with marine electrical varnish

    when a torque converter goes out, it takes out the pump assembly, which in turn causes the pressure to drop which eats up the clutches im on 3rd rebuild of my 2014 GM (thru dealer) because they keep using remanufactured torque converters.

    changing the trans filter helps a bit as you get back to a sligthly higher line pressure. however you may want to find a few more upholstery jobs to pay for a trans rebuild.

    normally the valve cover breathers run up to the carb in a marine installation. I would plug the unused ports.
