    The cap / cover on the fuel pump should have a screen inside of it.

    As an outboard that powerhead drains itself.-----But mounted as an inboard it and the muffler need to be drained.----Look for the plugs / valve for draining it.

    Looks like an easy to plane , near flat bottom to me.----And decals show the motor to be a 76 or 77 model.-----Those are distrubutor motors.

    No need to use heat or PB blaster.--Use the correct puller.------Drill / tap those 3 holes and it should pop off.-----hopefully you have not damaged the coils.

    Clean the carburetor.----And do not leave carburetor full of fuel when motor is not in use for a few days.

    Same switch type was used from about 1960 to 2005.-----Black ones come apart easy.----White ones may need rivet on bottom drilled off

    What are the cylinder compression values ?----And do you have spark on 3 leads that jumps a gap of 3/8" or more?-----Flywheel key checked ?

    Prop shaft diameter on a 1963 model 10 HP is 0.554"-----The 18 HP is 0.625" on a 1965 model.

    Well-----It looks just like the ones I take apart.----So look at it very closely !!
