Tahoe deckboat sink fuse is blowing

Could be, I would put a 10 amp because its easier to find What size fuse was in it?

Starts dies blows fuse on take off

That's not a Merc number. Look above the starter for a plate. It would be a number, letter, and 6 more numbers 0W123456 I think you have a TKS carb and the fuse blowing would be 20 amp. The temp switch is seen in the pic, and is probably shorted. It might even have blown the ignition fuse...

    Overheating

The one coming from (flow toward) the water pump should go to the thermostat. If it did go to the water pump this would help flow into the block. With it going toward the mans reduces the flow into the block. What does the thermostat housing look like?

Inconsistent bogging/acceleration until it hit around 20mph - Mercruiser 5.7l

We're going to have to go at this like they messed everything up. A clicking could be lifters but this would not need a head gasket. Get a lianer compression gage from a auto parts store. Disconnect the coil, open throttle to wide open and do a compression test

    Mercruiser 5.7 V8 (1997) jumping RPM

Howdy Manuel Need your motor serial number? Assuming your watching the boat Tachometer change rpm. Unless your hearing the motor change rpm alog with watching the Tach it may just be a Tach issue and not the motor. If you have TBV then the wire needs to go to ground to set timing. If you...

    SX cobra out drive crack

Doesn't look like a crack, looks like someone used a screw driver to separate the drive at one time. You should be ok. That said, the drive should be removed at least every couple season to check motor alignment

How many hoses go into the connection? If more then 2, where do they come from? Where do the thermostat hoses connect?

Inconsistent bogging/acceleration until it hit around 20mph - Mercruiser 5.7l

It never ran right since the head gasket was replaced. The other issues that keep coming I'm wondering just what the mechanics have "actually" done. All things listed while time consuming are not hard, and if done correctly there should be no issues running again. Did the motor over heat...

    transom replacement Chrysler

Use CSM (chop stran mat) with polyester resin. Using 2 pieces of 3/4 plywood and bond the 2 together using CSM and resin Some use corebond to bond the wood to the transom prior to covering and tabbing with CSM. Some just mix a thick resin and CSM to bond plywood to transom (what I did)

Perko switch question (1 engine 2 battery)

Best to have ring terminals on Bat cables on a boat. Terminals should be crimped and then sealed. No soldering because if cable gets hot it could melt the solder and pull out Below uses an ACR

Inconsistent bogging/acceleration until it hit around 20mph - Mercruiser 5.7l

You need a new mechanic Don't see bogging being the fuel pump, the carb either has enough fuel or it doesn't. Checking fuel pressure can always be good to know, but I would suspect carb Heads been removed twice so things could have gone wrong. Hope the head was checked for flatness prior to...

    Overheating

The HE doesn't look like the typical Merc design. The older design used 2 hoses coming in from the Thermostat housing to the front of the mans and 2 others coming back from the rear of the mans. I'm seeing what appears to be 3 hoses (maybe more) connecting to the top tank

2003 Mercruiser 350 Mag MPI - No start

The HVS dizzy has a "very small" spot where it will fire correctly. Original versions of the ECM it could be moved about an 1/8 either side if the motor was experiencing a misfire. There is a bulletin out for this and another of how to get it exact. The dizzy also has a reluctor wheel (your...

Mercruiser 3.0 Delco EST ignition module hell

Don't know for sure but my thought is there is a lot of junk parts out there. Anyone can print up a dox and label making it look like the real thing. I got some crap parts from rockauto that said genuine GM for the car. After taking car to the dealer, they replaced the same part and now it...
