Only runs while hitting primer key

The high speed metering jet is screwed into the very bottom of the float bowl.----Idle fuel goes through them as well I believe.----You have to remove the drain plug to remove / clean them properly.-----This jet is hidden and often overlooked !

Only runs while hitting primer key

If pushing the key in makes it come alive then I think fuel pump is working just fine.

Only runs while hitting primer key

High speed jet is in the very bottom of the float bowl.------And when you use the primer fuel goes directly into the motor.----This fuel bypasses the metering circuits in the carburetors.----This would suggest ( to me ) that something was missed in your carburetor work.----Stop revving the motor...

    LED Bulb trips breaker

If you get 16 meg ohms on the bulb than the bulb is not the cause of the breaker tripping.-----I say you have too much load on the circuit.----Therefor the breaker trips as it is supposed to.------

    Selecshift

With plugs out it should turn really smooth.--You should not be applying voltage to both wires at the same time , or perhaps I mis-interpret your post ???----Do a full evaluation of this motor before spending beer tokens on parts !!!

    Selecshift

Could be your meter.----So it reads 7.9 ohms from green to ground for forward ?----And also 7.9 ohms blue to ground for reverse--Sounds about right.----Doubt you would have 2 bad ones.----And certainly not the reason for prop not turning.

???---Well,--- the 12 volts from the battery needs a fuse and the feed to the solenoid is 12 volts.----Then goes to ground via the safety switch.-----So a problem with that wiring / solenoid and the fuse goes ----phoooofff.

    Selecshift

With 2 wires attached the switch does absolutely nothing.-----Might as well throw it on the shop floor.--- and put wire to ground.

That switch only needs ONE wire to it.----It has an internal ground.----That switch needs cleaning.----Very simple job !!

    Selecshift

Stop-----This switch prevents cranking with too much throttle applied.----It should have continuity to ground at idle or a little faster.-----Post picture of this switch.----I have cleaned many of those switches.----Simple job.----Note,---- 12 volts from battery is not used to make spark for the...

    Selecshift

Correct that safety switch is NOT supposed to have continuity when depressed.-------It prevents cranking when depressed too far ( too much throttle ) and nothing is wrong with it.----Sounds like switch needs cleaning or adjusting.
