    Sounds like it is running on just 1 cylinder.-----Remove top plug wire.----Does the motor start ?-----Now try and start it with just the top plug wire on.----Report what you find.----Compression test done , post the actual numbers.----I doubt a bad lower seal will stop the bottom cylinder...

    The bushing at the bottom of the block is a tight fit.------How much air can leak in a 600 RPM?-----During one twentieth of a second or less time ?

    There are no changes other than a 3 vane impeller.----They quickly realized that the 3 vane impeller was a mistake !

    ???----You would use the timing light as a " poor man's scope "----So if the light flashes steady at idle and does not flash steady as you speed , up it is telling you there is a spark issue.----May help you determine which cylinder is the issue !!

    Damage to pistons and rings.-----Post pictures of pistons and rings when you look in there.----You did confirm that starter / battery and battery cables are in good condition ?----In my opinion this should be easy to diagnose !

    You have a bad test gauge or a motor that needs rebuilding.----Remove the wee bypass covers on the side of the motor ( 6 screws each ) and look at pistons and rings.----Lucky you if it is just blown head gaskets.

    There is not much that can go wrong with the oil side.----Just a wee piston o-ring running in a small metal cylinder.-----Do check the check valves in the air motor and look for air leaks.

    Quite normal for a 2 stroke after idling / running on muffs.
