    Electrical short 4.3 Mercruiser 06Tahoe

The TKS has 2 power feeds which can power the ignition. The TKS fuse and the 20 amp fuse from the key switch (not shown in pic) This is a simplified pic

Thanks You don't have a IAC or TPS, you have TKS carb. Normally when the fuse blows it just keeps the carb running rich, but it does keep running. For it to start killing the motor I would look at the temp switch and the TKS module Verify you have a carb that looks like this

    Mercury throttle help please

It appears to go where arrow is pointing. Then again I'm using a diagram of maybe which is not yours. If there is a model number on the throttle this would help. The detent is held in place by other parts like item 35. The pic I'm using above is not exact so this is why I left the link so...

2002 5.7Gi-BF wiring harness connector damage, fuel pump dead

With your fuel pump not turning ON I would check fuses. Not familure with the 570, is that a Ford or GM? The Gi 10 pin is in pic and you can buy a new pigtail and solder in place.

When asking a question always best to provide the motor serial number, this way we know what your working on The 15 amp fuse should be 12V main power. Things that draw direct from the fuse are the main power relay (MPR), power control module (PCM), idle air control (IAC), and throttle position...

Howdy Black smoke means more fuel then the motor can burn. Things that cause this issue are: Clogged air filter Waste gate stuck open so turbo cannot build pressure Low compression Blowing black smoke in neutral I would have a compression test done. This needs to be done by a diesel mechanic...

    Replacing Porch Post

Maintenance free to me means no painting, but only painting post every few years isn't bad. I've already used my break and covered everything else with aluminum Think I'm going to put original post back and then look into a vinyl or aluminum wrap. Current color of everything else is a musket...

I am finding contradicting information on wiring a charger and a inverter to a 3 battery system

This is my take using one inverter/charger (inverter does both charging bats and makes AC). The ACR will charger both banks when motor is running or when plugged into shore power. If your using separate chargers and inverters, just connect the charger to the start bat and ground What do you...

Removing Bottom Cowling on 1997 Force by Mercury 75hp

The exhaust is attached to the bottom of the block. After removing the rear cover below the cowling you can get at bolts holding the motor. There are also bolts around the motor in front. Don't know which motor you have but here are some pics of my 125 Chrysler

1968 MerCruiser 120 sterndrive water pump

Since your seeing water spilling out around the muffs, it could just be they are not sealing very well. Its normal to see a lost of spill before motor is started. After starting the water should reduce a lot If your gauge is accurate then your good

1968 MerCruiser 120 sterndrive water pump

The heat of the motor has nothing to do with how much water will exit the exhaust. As before, it either goes straight out the exhaust, or some goes in the block and what goes in the block gets pushed out the same amount out the block and to the exhaust

I am finding contradicting information on wiring a charger and a inverter to a 3 battery system

Then you need a 2 bank charger and a ACR. The start bat remains the same, just need to add the ACR and connect the house circuits to the dual bat
