    ???----If the float needle was missing the motor would flood and not run wide open.-----Look this motor over carefully before spending your beer tokens !!

    No that hose has to go to the cover on the pump.-----The cover on the pump should have a screen in it.------That motor has overheated so do a compression test before spending any beer tokens.

    Open the low speed mixture screw 1/8th turn at a time ----See if the POOFF goes away.

    A $6.00 diaphragm will usually fix those very reliable PRESSURE operated pumps.----You need the pump , so not sure what you mean by a filter bypassing the pump ?---Spark must jump a gap of 1/4" or better on that magneto.----Coils are either both cracked or new ones have been installed.

    They put these things together with the idea that no one will ever see the shoddy work / materials.-----Doing a boat right now.-----All the structural wood in the transom and floor has been removed.----Replaced with composites and glued in with West System epoxy.

    Well----Yes I hear about it all the time.------What is your motor doing / not doing that gives you the hope that the " linc and sync " will fix it.-----What other trouble shooting have you done.----Note----I could rebuild your 70 hp motor top and bottom without a glance at the manual.

    The control will have a feature to lock out the shift function and advance throttle only.----Just ask your boating friends how to operate that control.----Any OMC control with the big red plug will work on your 1975 model 70 hp.

    Brass floats are known to leak.-----Give them a good shake and make sure there is no fuel in the float.

    Yes the starter might be spinning all the time.----Hard to see because the starter is not exposed on these units.

    Nothing to do with the prop.-----How high is the transom 15" or 20" ?----What is the model # of the motor.----Any pictures ?

    I guess I need to be more clear.---There is no adjustment possible on the connecter with the 2 wee bolts !----Propeller must be turning when you shift this motor !

    There is NO ADJUSTMENT on the shift rod connecter.----Repeat no adjustment.-----You line up the notch in the shift rods with the hole and install the wee bolt.

    What key switch did you use?----What instructions and wiring diagram did you follow?----You risk major damage to Expensive parts.----Disconnect battery and read up on this.

    The float and float valve need attention.----Time to take it apart and revisit the work done.----Yes if you are working on your first carburetor it can be frustrating !!
