    Battery voltage is applied to one of the 2 small terminals either C or D.------And one of the small terminals goes to ground.

    Hard to tell and at one time there were many local boat builders.----Some are obscure and not well known.----Visit a site called ---fiberglassics-----As they have listings / pictures of many boats.----Might find it there.

    The ---MERC-O-TRONIC ---used a 7.5 volt dry cell battery and 120 volt AC.----There are other ways to get 7.5 volts today.-----This tester is NOT a Mercury outboard tool.-----It simply is a magneto analyzer.----It is very easy to maintain and set up this wonderful magneto to jump a gap of up to 5/16"

    I have stated it many times.----Folks are confused by the concept of a 2 stroke and lubrication in a 2 stroke.----The exhaust relief is there so the engine does not have to push exhaust 2 feet under water.----It all sounds normal to me.

    How did you determine " every other rev " as it is about 12 revolutions per second at idle.-----Perhaps use a timing light to see if it is an ignition miss.

    You have to be very , very careful when using an EVINRUDE control on a HONDA.----I suggest you get a control suited for the HONDA.

    Some love those light weight ( 60 lbs ) motors and other loathe them.-----Start with doing a spark output test.-----See if both leads have 1/4" spark or more on a testing device.----These motors are famous for cracked ignition coils.----There are very few ( if any ) of these motors still running...

    Agreed-----Do a complete evaluation BEFORE spending any beer tokens.------Too often we see folks with a nice paint / new carpeting / redone seats.-----Then find out that the transom and stringers are rotten.----Or water logged foam under the floor.

    Is the carburetor venturi bore the same on the 90 and 115 HP model ?----Is the air flow and pressure the same in these 2 different motors and carburetors ?
