    then you didnt look in the right location. https://www.mortec.com/location.htm however the 14015445 is the casting number, making it a late Mk IV block i would skip the Gen V and go straight to the Gen VI myself.

    white caulk is a giveaway that something is wrong. there is a transom seal that if intact, does its job well. usually caulk is done as a bandaid. how long have you owned the boat?

    no sealant on the head gaskets appropriate sealant on the new head bolts (GM used torque to yield bolts which are a one-time use) a dab of RTV in the corners of the rear bearing cap where it meets the pan rail. other than that, the pan rubber is dry

    the casting numbers are always in the once spot - behind the starboard side head deck, on top of the flywheel housing embossment. the engine serial number from GM is on the port side (not needed).

    all Chevrolet motors have the same bolt pattern for the flywheel housing. post the engine casting number (behind the starboard cylinder head, on top of the flywheel housing boss)

    what do you mean you have both manuals? you have the original OMC shop manual published by Ken Cook company, right? because if you have a Haynes, Clymer or Chilton manual, you have knee pads or something to prop a wobbly table up with.

    whats so hard to understand. you went up 2" in pitch, 1 blade and added 350#. the 4th blade adds a fair amount, the 2" pitch adds a fair amount and the 350# adds a fair amount go down to a 3-blade 19p or a 4 blade 17p
