    can I swap my lower unit out with a non 60 degree

    I have a 95 evinrude 150 60 degree. MY lower unit and case is toast. Can I put a 92 oceanrunner 150 lower unit on mine even though the ocean runner is not a 60 degreee? Thanks.

    I give my buddy bearings a shot of grease every trip. Should you replace the bearings every year repack or keep greasing? How long do bearings last 5000, 10000 miles? I know that it depends on how you take care but is there a general rule? Thanks

    engine makes a bang every 6- 8miles of driving

    engine makes a bang every 6- 8miles of driving my 110 johnson 86 runs great. It is just every 6- 8 miles of running i will here a bang from the engine. It sounds like it is coming from the lower unit. It has done this for the 180 hours that i have put on the engine . Let say it has done it once...

    86 johnson runs great but sounds like change in your pocket rattling

    I have an 86 110 johnson . I use every week and runs great. last week at high speed only it makes a rattling noise at wot. Any suggestions. Motor runs great . A friend said maybe the clamp that holds down the cowling may be loose . I will check on saturday. Thanks for any suggestions
