    wire for what? 98 Mariner?

    This 98 Mariner is missing the lower unit and i noticed this wire hanging down just cut off it's mounted to the outboard bracket with a wire retainer/screw it is hanging down to i'd say the middle of where the lower unit would be and just cut off? any clues? thanks

    Question on drive change over?

    Pulled the 350 v8 today It has the OMC 800 drive of which i'm changing to a Mecruiser set up. The OMC has the cross member tilt front mount. Could i use this front mount with the Mercruiser set up or do i need to use the side engine mounts?

    Adding a Strake ?

    Has anyone ever added a strake to their hull? Ive seen alot of good hulls with two strakes on each side. I'm wondering if i can or should add one to a hull that only has one on each side? Any recomendations or opinions or know hows would be helpful, thanks

    Well going to revive this Formula 233 and it has twin 165 L6s I know it's 330hp with them but i'm wondering about fuel efficiency? Would i do better with a single 5.7 or the twin 165s as far as fuel? I know the 165s aren't the best on fuel because i had one in my 21.5'er but that was single...
