You did use UOA and outboard oils in the same sentence. <br /><br />Mobil 1 is a NMMA TC-W3 certified outboard engine oil. Mobil 1 is an approved 2-stroke oil for UIM powerboat racing. UOA's have absolutely nothing to do with 2-stroke oils, although you tried to use them to show the Amsoil 100:1 is the best. Even the worst oil expert knows that UOA's have no place in 2-stroke oil discussions. <br /><br />BTW, if you're going to ridicule someone about their "intelligence", you might want to learn how to spell "common sense".

I don't know a dang thing about oils except I need them to run my engines.<br />What I do know is that ever time LD is in a discssion about oil, this oildoc fellow shows up and starts the same ol crap.<br /><br />Member TheOilDoc, why is that?<br /><br />BTW, I thought Mobil 1 was a car oil, see there, told ya.

I am sorry you feel that way SBN. LubeDude originally addressed me in this thread on 8-15-05, a whole day prior to any post I made here. <br /><br />He followed up my response with argument and a comment about taking "pokes" at me. Since then he has called me names, used profanity, questioned my professional expertise, and attacked my intelligence and common sense. All while failing to explain his comments or provide any tangible or technical information.<br /><br />I have simply stated facts from Amsoil, offered members my experience testing oils at 100:1, and asked for explanations to statements made by LubeDude.

I would have no problem doing that if you would just kindly take my word that I didnt mean to make anyone think I was using UOAs in conjunction with 2 cycle oils. What part of we were "OFF TOPIC", dont you understand. We were talking about car oils at that time, not Mobil1 2 cycle oil or any othe 2 cycle oil. <br /><br />You have driven me to frustration trying to tell me Im saying or incinuating something that Im not.

Yes they are, they are, they are too! <br /><br />They hold there additives longer, (they have more to start with).<br /><br />And the TBN stays higher because of it, thus Amsoil will go much longer between changes.<br /><br />Amsoil does thicken some though, which I find better than thinning out.

Of course yuo no the effects of meeting API specs on additive treat levels. How would Amsoil's lame XL series(which are not even real synthetics), API cert oils compare? How would non API Mobil ER compare with Amsoil? How about Delvac 1 , T&SUV?<br />Amsoil is in no way superior whencomparing apples to apples and Mobil always uses bases stocks and additives which are more advanced and which they actually make. Do you honestly think Mobil is going to sell Amsoil their best base oils?

I know this is just a joke, but I have never ever said anything about The OilDoc not knowing what he is talking about when it comes to oils, he is way past me on that one and I know it. He just rubs my fur the wrong way, thats all.
